Will It Be A Bridge Too Far ?

Seconds out , round 7.

So far its won 3 drawn 2 and lost 1 in the Conte Chelsea vs Arsenal. However the 1 loss was at The Bridge.

Once again I have absolutely  no idea what type of a team we will be able to scratch together for the semi final of the Cup of Milk Trophy. or whatever you want to call it. Worryingly thought is fear we will be up against a full strength Chelsea team , in good form, in their own back yard. If we can avoid losing, I’m calling that a fantastic result.

So there you have it, try to enjoy the game and I’ll see you on the other side.

    I think the way it works is that we actually win the games everybody tells us we are about to lose.

    Everyone has us down for a tanning tonight, as they always do against the rent-boys despite evidence to the contrary, so the smart money has to be on a 0-0 draw.

    a much weaker team and squad than I was expecting

    5 of sunday’s team start, another 4 on the bench.

    Alexis only a sub, no ozil or koscielny or kolasinac in the squad

    our new signing is on the bench, and if he comes on he will not be going out on loan as was first planned, as under the rules you can’t play for more than 2 clubs in the same season.

    poor enough game, cfc with a few better chances than we did.

    Jack injured again,

    Got to love Iwobi, he was awful, but he kept going, kept seeking the ball, kept trying to make something happen, but maybe its time he was taken out of the firing line for a few weeks.

    AMN good again, our back line solid enough for the most part.
    our attack offered so little, at times I forgot Welbeck was playing he had so little impact.

    Intriguing last few minutes – two passes from Alexis and one to him trying to thread the ball through the eye of a needle – if they had come off no doubt we would be rocking.

    Overall a night for both defences – Mustafi kept his head together when a few were losing theirs. As well as sticking his head to the ball time after time as the crosses fell in.

    Yeah – that was ok.
