Good morning all,tonight it’s Everton.
This is a game that for Arsenal has taken on almost zero importance. Fans and management seem to have accepted that hanging around mid table is where we are and where we will stay. This would normally be seen as a disaster for a club like Arsenal, but somehow we have convinced ourselves that it ok because we might win the Europa Plate competition, the competition for losers is now the limit of our season’s hopes. Oh my goodness.
Now on top of not really caring about three irrelevant points, we are all busy with our hatred of all things Kroenke. The hypocrisy of the Arsenal fan base has gone ballistic. Let me be clear, I’m all for #Kronkeout, but because KSE keep making bad decisions and appointments, I agree with a self sustaining business model, but I’m furious about the application of by our owner. However it appears to me that the vast majority of fans are upset that Stan doesn’t fund their desire to be competing with City and Chelsea for the big prizes. The irony is that if you suggest these fans want a sugar daddy they are outraged and vehemently deny it. They will come up with soundbites to justify their denied desire, but none of these distractions bear scrutiny because a sugar daddy is exactly what they want.
This European Super League malarkey has been a disaster for the club. A PR nightmare and more. Most of the criticism from “the football family” is justified but some of the hatred towards our owners is misplaced. In the end, if it had happened and Arsenal were not included, fans would go berserk. Of course the thing is unjust and unfair, but so is the financial doping that City and Chelsea have done, the same doping that our fans are desperate for Kroenke to provide.
On top of this we have fans thinking that the ESL collapsed because of fan power. Now fan power might have played a very small part, but it was FIFA, UEFA , FA, SKY, Talksport and the billionaire controlled media that actually killed it. It died because the greedy sorts that control the money in the game, wanted to keep that control. Fans have just helped the existing greedy shower keep their grip.
We have seen fans thinking they should have a say in how and who runs the club. The AST trying to turn things to their advantage and get a say on the board, a powers grab by the lunatics that feel the asylum is rightfully theirs. I can’t imagine anything worse.
Let’s be honest, when the fans demanded that Arsene was sacked, Kroenke listened. If I were him I would say “These clowns ruined my business last time I listened, never again”.
Right, back to the dead Everton rubber,
Aubameyang and Lacazette are out…………………………….oh forget it, I don’t care.
Try to enjoy the players and keep safe.
Pedantic George.
how could it be a dead rubber, the attention seekers are going to be there in force, a real battle to see who can get the most air time by acting like a lunatic for the baying SKY cameras.
Will be strange watching the game tonight with it muted, cos I can’t be putting up with non stop jibes about the ESL.

Funny to hear you call out this hypocrisy, in the #kronkeout calls.
This is one reason I cannot take the Arsenal supports group very seriously. My opinion, is that when you start calling kronkeout,I want to hear you state your reasons. Pretending that you are saying something when you are simply calling for someone to buy you a trophy to boost your ego, just does not cut it.
By all means hold the KSE feet to the fire because they have shown nothing but incompetence.
Just to shout kroenke out when the most likely outcome might be an Asset Management Company, does not show a lot of forward thinking.

just a quick thought on the 50+1 rule that is used in the Bundesliga and so many fans groups here seem to be in favor of
it was brought in to the Bundesliga in 1998, that is 23 years ago,
Bayern Munich are about to win their 17 Bundesliga Title in those 23 years, and their 9th in a row
by the way in the 23 years before the 50+1 rule Bayern Munich won 9 Bundesliga titles

I was asking for Auba and Laca to be benched for the kids, although mainly Auba.
I believe all players should be judged on 90 minutes and not on their history or a five minutes that makes them look good.
A player like Auba who’s almost total input to the team is goals when he stops scoring he shouldn’t be playing.
The most obvious thing for me is when you know your team is going to finish midtable then you should play your academy players win ,lose or draw.
We all know the way Hector and more importantly Granite has led the team through turbulent times this season but there is no denying the revival was achieved by ESR and Saka.
I still believe that the long term future of the club would have been better served with Joe W, Ainsley, Eddie and Reiss and even the odd minutes for Azeez rather than the tired and haphazard players like Auba,Ceballos, and Pepe.
Most great managers build teams and know instant wins should not be taken over the building of a future great team especially when you are using “trust the process” as your catchphrase.
Young players won’t all hit the ground running but potential is what should be looked at so if there is a young side tonight and they don’t do very well I will be disappointed but that’s not the end of it they will need time especially as those other players have been given an age to produce something they quite clearly haven’t.
Mikels history tends to suggest he won’t go with a really young side but whoever he picks COYG.

Is it the same people who are screaming “Kronke out” the same ones who were screaming “Wenger Out”?
They did not consider what the alternative was at that time and see what has happened since.
Do they want the Saudis or some Russian oligarch and who says they will do any better?
Is winning more important than decent behaviour?
Now that Wengers’ legacy has all but been destroyed, is it any surprise that long term supporters such as myself have lost interest?
I may be bothered to look at the result tomorrow morning and I may not. Who cares?

But it does show how many clubs (owners) have taken sport and run with it into new territory which for tools like me, seems to eat away at why I started supporting in the first place. Ians comment about Arsenal franchaise and not Arsenal FV struck a note in my mind.Stew wrote four years ago asking what were we supporting. I suggested a stream of something, but I looked at the pollution in the strom and it just makes me feel alienated and not part of it. What is this average Arsenal? I like you all very much on here but I dont feel too much brother/sisterhood/non genderhood with other Arsenal brethren. Arsenal fan tv shat on the club too, and the tv companies and their marketing people were qucik to play the bs game of including the fan voice.
At one point we will surely reach a saturation point and no longer care for the endless opinions? To me Mr STD or Henry Winter are the same, for people who dont know th game or are just lonely and need to listen to the views of people who pretend to be an expert? Can anyone know enough to be an expert? But opinions would be much more palatable, if there wasnt money behidn them? Any theres few outlets where its not money driven One million points and a curry cooked by me roudn my house to Captain George for not playing that one! Youre all welcome btw.
But how does anyone deal with it? How do you stop the force of the greed and money making, its a vast force, international, political and its eating its own tail. Many of the critical voices are very much part of those forces themselves, and pointing the finger will keep any heat of themselves. They play the torch/ garden tool angries and give them a bone but those people soon swing around on you.
Footballs about the fans? My ass. They just supply the atmosphere, the game has slipped away. Look at the anodyne plastic flags at Wembley finals, why are the semis played at Wembley too? Clubs are just big international business, investing and pandering to Politik (Ö). How much money would be being pumped into all this if everyone started watching the tiddly winks Super league instead?
Seems also to be a scrap between UEFA and the founders of the SL? I mean, we a laready have a Super league, its called the champions league. But are UEFA clean? The inclusion of so many clubs in the CL/EL is it good or bad? Have these compeitions become boring? Assuming theres no pandemic one, the sure create a lot of rev. SO be ware back to the same forces that are behind the SL?
Seems odd that the popluar aggression has popped up out of every country and at managerial level and the owners are writing pseudo apologies (eh?)…lets face it just a matter of time before it happens? They will introduce a promotion/relegation system, and maybe there might even be a breakaway system altogether? UEFA might ban players from representing their countries, but who wants to watch a WCup without the lastest stars? Look how much football changed in the last 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, who can say whats coming next. The distant future players wil have AI and quantum supremacy will be a mf of a problem…and who knows what other factors will be dominating the game? Recent indications seem to sketch they could be pretty difficult, aain because people have sold themselves to mammon?
Its the sort of irritating shite I write, but truly, who owns Arsenal…the Kranks? Fans? I see us as caretakers, stuck with the problem of what is good and bad.AFTV and Le Twat think they are good, I dont. At this moment they truly destroyed the club I started supporting, and ironically it was a kind of greed /lack thatdrove them to aim higher and weve sunk lower. They think Im bad, and maybe Iam. What are the answers? My ideas would be laughed at as we relive the 80s: bullshit walks as money talks. And Im King Bullshit. Although, surely just because some voices are loud does it make them correct or all seeing? Are loud voices based on fear?
Are games still really exciting? When fans split and promote themselves over the club, them spout rhetorical pc shite when the are big muck flingers what does it mean?
Is football plastic, hollow and organised, too examined, too bullied, to stretched, too beyond its oringla meaning, is it too inclusive that it becomes excluding. If its about the fans then what are we getting? Poorer yes? More angry yes?
How can anyone stop this? Do the fans own clubs? Even if they did how would they know how to finance a mf of a buisiness like AFC? I couldnt.
How do you regulate the football star system? Itseems to be a massive problem, fans talk abotu football money as if it was monopoly money. I recall about seven years ago seeing an old cronie from school so I went for a cupp roudn his dump, and his son in law was there and reckoned he was king Gooner and gave me a roasting going on about how the old Wenger style of mangment wasnt working compared to the Chelsea/ Man City system (etc). I looked at him and didnt answer him, I just thought you dumb green twat. He won and the actual game lost. Im a loser anyway so fk it. But man its frustrating.
How much of this was the fear of the new? Yes its about greed, but greed is all over and shagging everything in the world at the moment?
What if the big clubs start really losing cash, then maybe they will break away? Post -modernism is a bastard, its going to grind things down until the epoch changes…
Q is…are people bored witht he premier league ( why wasnt there a major outcry when they all broke away?)? Are people bored and uninterested to play against less gamourous teams? Are people bored with the EL? Going away to whats perceived as less glamourous teams/or even going to see them at home? I dont recall people moaning in the 70, 80s or 90s, onyl later after years in the CL and we made our short home in the EL ( ha! If we dont win it we wont be international for the first time in how long?).
So does that mean eventually the snob fans( that includes AFTV/Le Twat etc) will only want to have a super league? Is there an underlying element that was pushed by everyone to make Arsenal a major euro force? To compete with Bayern? Not with the Seaweed/Fulham etc Doing well on that front! Fans cant cope with losing against less glamourous sides as we take it still that we are a major force, and we havent been for a while, at least not since He left.
Sometimes I wonder if it would have been presented in a less obviously greedy way, if more teams would have come on board, with a promotion/relegation system and not in a moment where everything is stretched by world events would it have garnered more interest, after all its what many want, big games, to watch an see exciting players, and of course a big scrap with “them foreigners” from another country afterwards to prove your countries the best/hardest?
Was it presented as too exclusive, too obviously and narcisstically elitist, and self promoting by the teams that have come forward? Surely the bait to to set something up the the provincial teams can too, one day make it to the top-the dream of dreams( especially if you have a sugar daddy or soon mummy or non gender “it”?
The outrage at the super league was fair enough but Greed and Money corruptiona nd lies are as much part of the system even without a super league, but why are we not calling this out with the same force? Because the water was slowly heated up while we swam in it? The super league proposal was like a boiling watefall? And hence the reaction?
How many of the outcrying voices are actually enjoying the current system and a super league threatens all that?Im sure new forces will be interested and new plans are afoot. Money cahnges everything and all the big clubs are part of that system and we have been since we moved stadium too(?).
When was the last time you really enjoyed a game, especially even if Arsenal lost? Its a dead season, and how wil Arsenal be able to buy at the level expected by loud voices? with Greed and Money, are we caught in a catch 22? Quite simply UEFA has to work in limiting everythnig to some degree, but capitalist forces wont do that, they cry foul play as if regulating things is such an evil. But when we look all seems caught in the web of capitalism, yet really we are all the web of it? How can we be outside?
Who or what killed the League cup? Who or what killed the FA cup( I dont see any magic anymore, maybe there is I dont see it). And who or what has made the Premier league a bore?
The injection of money into clubs already created this years ago: the silent super league,if a new proposal sits on the table offering “loads a money” and inclusion instead of exclusion, what then? Wasnt this always going to happen what the CL becoming the major world tournament? What if UEFA had proposed this, with more offers of inclusion?Would there have been a different reaction?
I dont know, I havent a clue. But I did used to love watching football, blokes booting the ball around in interesting ways, fire and skill, but that now seems the least important part of the whole matter of things.Im not sure I like our time. But at least Ive still got my favourite hobby, inspecting pornographic films.
Take care of yourselves.

well Mills you ask a hell of a lot of good questions there, all I will say is that it very much seems like fans are bored of the lesser games, AFC like all the other bigger sides can not sell their CAT C tickets, which are easily the cheapest tickets, despite so many saying they are priced out of going. We no longer can sell out our League Cup tickets despite them being £10, its not glamorous enough, Jesus Christ some rather tune in to watch AFTV mugs watching the game, its more entertaining than watching the game for them
Perez was correct fans don’t want to watch anyone play Stoke, and no matter what the loud fans tell you, they don’t, as the eating is in the pudding, we and none of the rest can sell the tickets, and Stoke fans don’t want to come to watch AFC at the Emirates, they can’t sell their away allowance.

Before the game we were already guaranteed our lowest home pts total since the 95 season, but remember that in Wenger’s unacceptable season we actually got our highest ever home points total. Even if we win all 5 remaining games we can not match the unacceptable 63pts from that season, we can’t even manage to win half our games as we did that season, but trust the process

We won’t win the Europa league. For starters, we won’t be allowed to, secondly, this team do not have the confidence, or at the moment, players or ability.
Villareal will put us to the sword unless we produce 5-0 performances.
Arteta should by rights be sacked after this season assuming we fail in Europe,, but he won’t be. In mitigation, he is surrounded by people who have been as inept as he has been. And secondly, and where I have some sympathy, the PGMOL have well and truly fucked him over at every opportunity,Stifling momentum, opponents know they will get the run of the green and just have to hang on until the ref intervenes, or we make a calamitous mistake. As for refs, we were always going to be punished in this game as we will be in Europe, through no fault of Artetas.
We have a rookie manager with a poor/ inexperienced exec structure, I think there may also be issues with the coaches judging on some things I see, but the manager takes the blame.
Very hard to see a way out for this club, barring something unexpected over the next few weeks
I won’t be protesting, or asking to spend money, but those running the club should be taking a hard look at things, should they be inclined. If they do want improvement, start getting in people who know what they are doing
If not, this club will sink further and become an expensive millstone around Stans neck,

Holgate against Pepe and Saka ruling from the right, the Everton full backs were panicking and fouling all the time, even without Xhaka in the middle there was something there for the Gunners in this game though the lack of senior CF showed.
I still can’t believe Lacazette was selected to start in three games that week after Auba went down with Malaria. I guess the discussions on the Keepers call are now over.

I agree with with Mandy though if Arsenal sneak past Villarreal and play Utd in the final the officials might not be needed! But what makes it potentially interesting is that this season Arteta has a good record against Utd.
I don’t think the Arsenal will beat Villarreal with Xhaka at LB not least as he’ll be needed in the midfield.
Will Arteta get over Cedric’s error and manage to pick Bellerin who IMO is and has been the best option at LB since Tierney was flogged into the infirmary? At least he wasn’t pushed!

Don’t have the stats, both had it hard, but yes, I actually think Arteta gets it even worse from the PGMOL than Wenger. For a start he doesn’t have the credibility of Wenger. And lets see the ESL effect on refs. Arsenal also had a better structure back in wengers day, whether they used it to plead their case under Ivan was another question, but think Ivan was a bigger figure in the corridors or power than Vinai is now, not that I am especially a fan of Ivan btw.
Two games in a row , pen and VAR issues, ….today, very similar “offsides “ they get the decision we don’t It’s constant, week in week out. Must be dispiriting for the players.
I also think with the lack of quality , the PGMOL know they can do Arteta more harm than Wenger.
The Kroenkes biggest mistake…in my view, sacking Wenger with no plan and pissing him off in a way they can’t call on his help, because they really could do with it. Don’t want to get too Arthurian but doubt this club will rise until Wenger returns , and that may be some time, infinity is hard to process.

thing is mandy that the had a plan to replace Wenger, an experienced manager in Emery, and a chief talent spotter in Mislintat, the idea was we were going to do what Dortmund do, get in lots of young talent, the mistake was actually edging out Gazidis who had brought in Mislintat and replacing him with the agents friend Don Raul. That bit was a pure disaster.
Fins I think the dropping of Bellerin is to placate the loud fans, he would dump Xhaka in a heart beat if he could do without him, but he knows he can’t, but i fully expect we sign that Bissouma from Brighton this summer for massive money, £50M or more, and sell Xhaka for about half that. Bellerin will go too.
We no longer have scouts, and we make decisions on players to placate fans, and we would have dumped Arteta by now if fans were in the stadium this season booing them off at half time and full time in most games.
Its EL or bust

They certainly made a lot of disasters, and contrary to some opinion, spent a hell of a lot of money doing it. Take your point on Emery and building a structure around him, think they tried, but failed to bring Monchi in?
Dithering over Ivan and getting his replacement slightly wrong, taking ages to get in….erm..Edu..certain transfers, deals, players let go,
Think the mistakes they have made quite possibly defeat the law of averages.
I don’t even Really blame a rookie like Arteta in that climate , though he has made his own mistakes, and also wonder how good his coaches actually are. Not sure if we have a set piece coach, because it seems to me teams still see an Arsenal corner as the perfect counter attack opportunity

for me Mandy the biggest problem with Arteta is that he is risk averse, he is looking to win 1-0, he has far too much of a safety first approach, and its stifled the life out of our play. Pepe is everything Arteta dislikes, he takes risks, loses the ball more often than not, but its that desire to make something happen that puts opponents on the back foot, its what leads to a far better return than 44 goals in 33 games for the team. Pain by numbers football is Artetaball, its fucking boring, maybe that is what fans meant by we’ve got our Arsenal back, boring boring Arsenal, nobody told Arteta that was an ironic chant.
