Wenger In Or Out ? Who Says What ?

So I have just spent literally 10 minutes browsing for some quotes & I came across several quotes from several people at the very very top of football from 2 of the very best players of all time to some of the managers who have achieved exceptional success.

Jupp Heynckes – Feb 2013

“You have to take into consideration Arsenal are competing with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City. Over the years they have been selling their best players and these other teams get in top world stars, so I don’t think it is fair to blame Arsène Wenger for that,”
“Wenger, is a great coach. You can see his team has a very great dynamic about it”

Pep Guardiola – August 2011

“”We should not forget what Wenger has done for football in general and for Arsenal in particular.”

Pep Guardiola – Febuary 2014

“Arsenal remains a good team and good club. I have a lot of respect for my colleague Arsene: he always likes the good, good players, the good style of football.”

Sir Alex Ferguson – August 2011

“The work he has done in the 15 years he has been at the club is the best in Arsenal’s history.

Sir Alex Ferguson – March 2014

I always enjoy watching Arsène’s sides – Arsenal play the right way.

Jurgen Klopp – Novemeber 2013

‘He is really something. I love him. He is Sir Arsene Wenger.”

Diego Maradona – March 2012

I would love to fulfil my contract and return to renew and be a kind of Arsene Wenger at the Al Wasl.”

Joachim Low – Febuary 2013

“I like Arsene Wenger a lot, because he stays true to his ideas and has been loyal to the same club for such a long time. With him, young players become stars.”

Johan Cruyff – Dec 2012

“Wenger will ALWAYS bring the club back to the top,” “People do not realise the achievement of this manager at Arsenal.
“I find it incredible that Arsenal have stayed at the highest level of European competition and England under his management without ever ending up in debt.
“I cannot remember red figures at Arsenal over the last 15 years. How many clubs in Europe can say they have qualified for the Champions League for 16 consecutive seasons under the same management? Arsene Wenger has put his life and soul into Arsenal.
“In 15 years, I have not seen him make any irresponsible purchases in the transfer market.
“That is why the work of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal is the prime example for every club in Europe.
“I cannot even imagine the board or the fans would ever think for a moment of putting Arsene’s position in doubt.”

Bare in mind I deliberately did not include quotes from any former players for Arsenal, even though people such as Bergkamp and Henry’s opinions are much more valid then anyone on twitter, they would immediately get accused of bias. Again this is all in 10 minutes of searching only.

So not only do these people at the very top of the game who understand football more than anyone have all come out with messages of admiration and support of Arsene Wenger in the last few years. Oh crap, I forgot these guys are all wrong and know nothing about football, just like Arsene, so maybe we should get some quotes from the twitter experts instead.

@TraderChris87

Of coure against them there are such colossus  as Le Grove, Durham and Morgan. So if you want to side with them here is what John Cleese has to say on the subject.

  1. Walcott not been in the game enough, and Campbell is very limited by being totally one footed.
We are missing having one of Giroud or Welbeck in the middle. would like to see Akpom brought on.

Coquelin impressive so far. Rosicky and Cazorla are a class above anything Hull have in midfield. Alexis is a real dynamo of a player.

  2. Gary Lineker just said he was informed that Alexis was offered a rest today and he asked to play, of course the whingers will say Wenger letting him play is a sign of weakness on our managers part.

  3. Eduardo thanks for the updates

  4. eduardo,

agree with you that Walcott is not being involved as much as we would like him to.

however, i think its a positive thing that he gets to play on either side of the field..it will only benefit us in the longer run i feel..plus we should not forget hes just coming back from injury.

    thanks.

  6. alexis is better that most..no doubt about it..but i feel he can still improve..not in terms of his ability..but more in terms of his judgement on the field..he can be a better player than both hazard and aguero..again this is his first season at arsenal and in PL..i strongly believe he will naturally end up being the best player in the league next year

  9. alexis with a shot but it lacks power

amazing that the commentators keep calling him Sanchez, he wants to be called Alexis, and its the name on his shirt, you’d think they’d spot things like that.

I’d suggest synching a broadcast game with the Arsenal player commentators, or switching to another language!

Come on the Arsenal! Wally looking a little rusty, and I guess that’s why he might have been eased back.

  28. Campbell showing the sort of work rate and willingness to help the defense that we rarely seen from Podolski, but he also does not have the finishing LP has.

Heh the plundits praising risky tackles from one team and not the other. Hilarious. And transparent.

typical BBC, “Arsenal beat a weakened Hull”, what a bias cunt j Pearce is.

  42. Well that was enjoyable. Hull had something like three shots on target. Except for a couple of silly errors Coquelin looked pretty good. Campbell and Theo understandably rusty. The opposition keeper was the MOTM for me. They do seem to up their game against Arsenal, don’t they?

  44. Ratings

Ospina 6.5 – little to do, done it very well

    Bellerin 7 – very good
Chambers 7 – his best performance for some time, very composed
Mertesacker 7.5 – got the all important opener
Monreal 6.5 – found ince hard to control

Coquelin 7.5 – very good game, on this showing he brings much more to the DM role than Flamini does
    Rosicky 7.5 – very good
Cazorla 7.5 – very good, him and Rosicky were just too fast and too smart for Hull

Walcott 6 – missed a few, made good runs, great to have him back
Alexis 9 – man of the match, got the second, could have had 3 or 4 more, a tireless worker too
Campbell 7 – great work rate, very one footed, should have scored, help the defense a lot

    subs
Oxlade-chamberlain 6 – a few rampaging runs, took a knock that hindered him
Akpom n/a – not on long, ran about a lot
Maitland-Niles n/a – only on in stoppage time

  48. Looking forward to watching the highlights!

Was Campbell simply having to bide his time, squad seniority etc. not wanting him to be a big head whilst also improving his conditioning in training etc.? so many possibilities and considerations there same as with Plodders, impossible to know. But the gaffer has said he likes him, and that he wants him to stay, so I guess he will.

How do you all think he got on!

Some people I respect but don’t always agree with think Camplell doesn’t haven’t the tools, but I believe from what I’ve seen that he has good potential. Plenty of development to come, a more consistent technique, needs to be better with his weaker foot, but there’s a lot there to build on.

  49. Worried that might be a mild strain for the Ox. could be out for a few weeks. At a guess out for the next game at least.
