The Agony Then The Ecstasy.

Hello one and all.

On this podcast we look back on Saturday’s miracle and revel in it. There’s a little bit of analysis of the game, but mainly just to old fellas being happy.

Pedantic George.

  4. Arsenal taking charge after 15mins. After this eleven settled in and warmed up they have stepped up through the fears.

One offside goal following another ricochet/own goal* and a drooling nutmeg from Xhaka (*they’re not happening at this frequency by accident!)

Another goal this time allowed following a corner looks like the Gunners used up all their poor corners against Bournemouth! And this one counts.

Then Xhaka again leading the counter to Trossard who shows incredible control for an over hit pass and follows that a perfect cross for an easy finish after Fulham dared to attack for the first time since the opening exchanges

Have to admit that was impressive!

  9. HT: Fulham 0-3 Arsenal

Gabriel, Martinelli and Odegaard with our goals, and we really could have been 6 or 7 ahead at this stage, such is our dominance

Trossard with assists for all 3 of our goals

  10. Arsenal yet to concede an Away goal in a London derby this season. Phenomenal record let’s hope they keep it up till next year.

Close this time from the Fulham defender who’s had a good game to be fair, off the bar from the corner.

  16. Great to see the two footballers Saka & Zinchenko who have been the vice used by this team to lock and brake apart opponents since Xmas given a rest at seventy minutes.

A perfect Sunday roast from the Gunners. Flame grilled. Tasty too if you don’t mind gunpowder.

For those who spent years demanding “defensive football”, dry, with no gravy or players under six foot like recent signings Trossard Jesus Zinchenko etc…I imagine they are quite literally singing a different tune today. I hope that such souls can show a little bit of belated class and admit to enjoying the opposite of what they were asking for.

  20. One weird thing is that between bottom and 12th, is six points, no-ones safe in that group.

  23. An away London derby after a difficult away European game was always going to be tough. Well that’s how it usually plays out so to batter Fulham in the first half so comprehensively was excellent
The only criticisms in the first half (and this is being hyper critical) was Martinelli greed and our lack of clinal finishing.
Even the staunchest Fulham fan couldn’t of complained if they came off six-nil down
The only times we struggled today was when we played backwards and got ourselves in trouble.
It was a difficult second half but we got through relatively comfortably and welcoming back Jesus was another massive plus.
Today again showed the importance of our January signings with Trossard coming back with a bang to take the MOTM on a day when two of our best players ( Bukayo and Martin) had off days.
If other players step up when that happens you not only have a team but a squad.

  24. A very impressive and professional performance. City had won the day before, but this team didn’t seem to take that as pressure and played with freedom.
Know he has just started his Arsenal journey, but Trossard is just starting to remind me of one or two of my favourite players in recent years, so far, he seems to be a bit of a signing to say the least, Chelsea may have done us a favour.
We have a team to be proud of

  26. Arsenal play EL game v sporting on Thursday, and then next Sunday we play Crystal Palace at home, and with Man City playing in the FAC, it means we can go 8pts clear of them, they play Liverpool the next round of games, while we will have leeds at home, if things go right for us in these games we could very well have a 10 or 11 point lead on city with 9 games to go, and 10 for city.

  30. Yes, Trossard does seem to have something of the night about him.
Know they haven’t done anything yet, who knows what could happen but this team seem to have something about them, I watch them with a buzz that it is just possible we are seeing very special Arsenal legends and immortals blossoming before our very eyes.
I went to the Everton game recently, ok, an easy win but something just seemed special around this team.
But whatever they do or don’t do, have enjoyed them immensely this season

  31. Totally agree Mandy and they can’t take that away however the season pans out. I think Trossard has been a great addition especially as he wasn’t the main target in the transfer window.
The stadium experience during few games that I have actually been able to get a ticket for this season (the downside of success) has been amazing.
There is something special being created by this team and as far as I am concerned they can celebrate as much as they like.
