Liverpool Expose The Huge Gap.

Hello any positive gooners that are left.

In this podcast Shotta and I chat about our cup exit and look at the gap between us, them and Chelsea, never mind the gap to City. Optimism flickered for a while but it’s fading as quickly as it appeared. We are back to paint by numbers football and no chances.

  1. 8 days left of the transfer window, Arsenal are said to be after a back up goalie, a CM and a ST, it also seems we want to let Leno, Cedric, Aubameyang go, possibly Elneny too, and have made a whole host of youths available for loan too.
Thankfully we don’t have a game till 10 days after the Transfer Window shuts, and also by then we should have Xhaka, Partey and Tomi available, and maybe our guys back from the ACON

  2. If that’s correct Eduardo, what a damning indictment of the way refereeing and the wider game is run in this country. The best thing for the game would be Burnley to go the way of Stoke and out of this league, though I am sure the PGMOL would find another Stoke/ Burnley quick enough

  3. well how do you explain that there is not one southern or london based ref, nor one non white ref in the pgmol epl list. If I’m not mistaken Uriah Rennie was the one and only black referee in the EPL, and he is gone since 2009

  4. its not only the Arsenal mens team that suffer at the hands of the refs, in the womens game today the ball hit the ref in the build up to city’s opener, and instead of stopping play the ref allowed the goal – the Arsenal women;s manager described it as the best pass of the game,

  5. Eduardo, there’s no real explaining that , seems the PGMOL get away with things others don’t in this day and age . What gets me, Yorkshireman Mike Riley has built his career on sucking up to the Lancs Mancs, clearly doesnt know his history!
Perhaps Mike Riley is like Gordon Taylor, unfit for purpose, but hanging on for grim death out of greed and who knows what else

  6. Of course motd don’t show red card offence type things by Burnley players, because they are not Gabriel or Xhaka.
Refs will know about this discrepancy of scrutiny and work accordingly, a card against an Arsenal player, the Arsenal player gets blamed whatever the circumstances, a card wrongly not given against an Arsenal opponent, move on, nothing to see here
But, if Arsenal don’t get a striker, or get more out of the players they have , they have clear , and self inflicted problems for the rest of the season. Lacca is a hard worker, but his goal return sure isn’t great these days , nor is eddies, or Aubas , perhaps Pepe needs to be given a chance

  7. How can Eddie’s goal return be good, he never gets Fucking played. He is a natural goalscorer but needs to be given time in the side an actual run of games but he never has.
You cannot judge a player based on a few minutes here and there and the odd game. At present I believe both Auba and Laca are on their way down and Eddie is on the way up ATM he is better than them both but once again this proves Mikel doesn’t like our academy players.

  8. Perhaps Eddie should sign da ting if that’s the case, though I wouldn’t blame him for not doing so btw

  10. Eddie would be mad to sign another contract even if he has to take less wages somewhere else. When we are short of attackers and midfielders we are struggling to score the lead striker on the field is no playing well and Eddie still only gets a few minutes it is clear Mikel will never play him.
Eddie is still England’s top youth striker and has scored internationally at all levels bar the first team.
To get into England’s first team he has to move or hope Mikel is sacked which I can’t see happening any time soon.
