Arsenal Prediction – 10th In the League

In this edition of the Uncensored Arsenal podcast, yours truly and the Arseblagger, Blackburn George, predict what was previously unthinkable; that on current form, under manager Unai Emery, Arsenal is likely to come 10th in the Premier League. In analyzing the club’s poor performance versus Leicester as part of a 19 game trend, we see no light at the end of the tunnel until and unless the club hierarchy make a change in management.

  8. Even the spuds can be decisive, while we are stuck with the train-wreck that is Emery!

  9. surely Jose and Spurs is a perfect match, a cunt of a man managing a cunt of a club.

  10. Sky reporting Mourinho Spurs is close, could be done tomorrow.
Happy days! We are free of JM for ever, whatever I strongly suspect Raul may have wished.
But if JM succeeds, even for a short time, as in latter Mourinho style, will be used as a massive stick to beat Arsenal with as, the board seem to insist on keeping faith with Emery, possibly for a while yet
All we do know, Jose will In 2-3 years maximum leave an expensive car wreck situation at Spurs that Mr Andrew Windsor would be proud of.
But can also see why he would join them, Poch saved him having to coach diving and cheating, and with the media /PGMOL love of Spurs second only to that of Liverpool, Jose will be given a lot of latitude with the dark arts.

  11. According to over ‘ere. Jose is now the new manager of the Chickens.

I wonder what happen to Poch, somehow he lost it, exactly when you thought they might really go for it.?It would be even more amusing if Jose cant help. Bad egg coop.

  12. Well, well, well. Surely huge potential to go wrong with Mou at Spurs. Him and Levy appear a very poor fit on spending front in particular.

Apparently got himself a huge contract- 15 mill a year- as well. Some potentially delicious possibilities but all sorts of things not so good for us could also happen- Kane to Utd, maybe; Poch to Utd.

  13. Main threat for me comes less from football more from combination of Jose, golden boy and co, PGMOL, media.

It didn’t go as I feared with Mou at Utd. I thought he dreamed of Fergie type pgmol and media love there, and while he didn’t do badly, he got nothing like that.

How he fits into the equation with Spurs, who are already at top end of cynicism, dirt, etc in play, and do very well with refs…who knows.

  14. Maureen does well in cup competitions so champions League is the nightmare scenario. However the whole thing is a huge gamble for spurs and Levi and Lewis with all sorts of disasters waiting to happen.
This does seem a shit or bust appointment.

  15. Emery on Southampton: “Every team is difficult in the Premier League. They need points and are playing better away from home. I think they will be very motivated but we need to impose and show our gameplan on Saturday.”

Well fuck me but Emery makes every one of our opponents sound like peak Barca. To think people used to laugh at Wenger when he bemoaned the team played with “a little bit the handbrake on”, now we have a guy in charge who has the team in reverse before we even kick off.

  18. ..this feels like its been the longest two weeks, a continual hogsbreath day,a gruelling trudge through tedium, with concrete boots and five cans of Special Brew in yr head. A wilderness that bakes and saps enthusiasm, where the nights are stuck in the small hours of fretful claustrophobic nightmares of losing the European cup final to the Bad- egg Chicken gang and on top of that these two weeks were just plain old fkin boring. And just when you think its safe to meet up with the Arsenal again, when hope creeps through the darkness of the heavy clouds that flood yr parade what do we recall?Thats it! Its Emeryballs! which means, anti- chances, anti -shots, anti- good defence, awol midfield ! Soon we will be fighting it out for top 14. Hey why not turn it into a relegation battle, that would do the club good. Well thats the Wob thinking. It will wake us up. Yep, good idea. Bit like voting leave.
Luckily we are playing the Real Madrid of the south coast this weekend. Already we are set up to defend, thats 8 men in defence(inc Leno), 1 in midfield ( Guen), and two up front. Mesuts not even in the squad. I expect one attack per half and an onslaught from the Sotonists. And the after match presser it will be said that we did well as we were wining 2-0 but 2-2 was a fair result.

    Knock knock.
    Who there?
    Pop art.
    Pop art who?
Pop art and get us a new coach will yer?

  20. Henry had a big interview on French tv Monday, not a word on Arsenal, to be far spoke only about his French National team experience and in the MLS. When asked about who his best coach was, said that they all played a role in his career….the interview was interspersed with clips of him playing almost all clips wearing the red and white. No word on his staff.

So Southampton are a now a force to be reckoned with? To be fair we have 2 wins more than them after 12 games….so perhaps we should be weary of them. Sure glad we’ve got our Arsenal! Seems we don’t hear that one much these days!
