Let’s be United after United

Well, that was a disappointment.

I think a draw would have been a fair result, but there is no denying that we were below our best.

I feel that we lacked a bit of drive and intensity in the first half. That  would have come from ‘Jack the knackered ankle’ and ‘Tomas the poorly’.

Really, I am of a mind that the number and intensity of games, played with an ever decreasing squad, finally caught up with us.

There is little or no point picking over the bones of this defeat. It’s gone and the important thing is that we are top of the league.

Two weeks rest and we will be back with a much stronger and fresher looking squad.

I am as confident as ever that we will make a real fist of this campaign.

Chelsea and City are the two teams I fear most over the distance and we stand 4 and 6 points ahead of them respectively at this stage. This is a great position to be in given we have been decimated by serious long-term injuries to vital players.

All we can do is get behind the team and let them play with the confidence that comes from knowing that they have a supportive fan base.

  1. for instance that shitty club we lost to last week..always plays 442 but without a clear ten…but properly defined wingers left and right…..rooney might wear the ten but it dont count , so robin is the targetman/killer and rooney becomes the shadow striker….. i have nailed it..champagne for everyone!!!

Ta for link to Independent article. As the PA’er who posted it said, the comments are very good. I especially liked this little bit:

“Utd had the lowest number of passes and possession at Old Trafford in the premier league in over 7 years.”

  7. funny how our clown blogger fans urge caution for precious jack and that he is only 20-21 trying to beat 30 and 31 year olds……

i wonder why our philosophic supporters couldnt realise this when they were asking from our young squad of cesc aaron denislon gael etc to go beat drogba giggs and puyol with xavi physically and mentally huh…… ? worse…it was arsene’s fault and his failed project youth huh??

  8. even funnier is how the sunshine bus is accused of lacking the ability to accept other people’s opinions while the door is closed for those who would like to challenge the articles/positions/opinions and remind some fuckheads what they were saying 3,4 or even 5 years ago, not to mention the hypocrisy in the current eulogy of the manager when just this past september ‘serious questions needed to be asked’….. lol…

  9. the arsenal bloggers guided and inspired by hate-media chose a period of massive club transition when inexperienced youth was the core of the side to complain to them for not winning titles off from two-three teams who specifically entered each season and spent to WIN trophies. Our club was trying to stay as close to the top as possible under the financial restraints with kids and to their immence credit as well as the manager’s credentials we only lost titles to chelsea, united, barca and city. The venom directed at our young team and manager for not winning silly mickey mouse cups where we were made to play with backs on wall and the misconception that they had to prove anything is nothing but ridiculous and indicative of how clueless and short-sighted arsenal bloggers/fans can be. Why would a foreign lad in a foreign league, a very physical league, stay and play for such stupid fans ?

We had an important game to play against Bayern at home and the media were giving Arsene a bad time about the stupid fa cup game playing with fans emotions and our fans would even suggest that wenger was wrong to lose his cool and come on the attack in press conference before the match……

big clubs have big fans too……
