Well the fixtures are out.
I have spent all morning studying them very closely and have noticed we play each team twice .
Not only that but the FA seem to have fixed it that we don’t play ANY of our rivals twice at home.SMH.
Despite this clear bias against us I think if we win most games, draw a few and lose hardly any,we could have a good season.
Was just going to say the same here.
AST fuck off you wankers. 77% want Usimove on the board.
Turkeys vote for Christmas.
(That would be thanksgiving to you Alabama and ‘Kam), insert smile.
‘Kam, we left that discussion on Giroud and Lewandowski hanging . Lets see what happens, you know how I stand.
Room in the team for both.
I loved Bennys work for us that season.
Really shows what a true pro can deliver.
Now hopefully Rosickys has got over his fitness problems, he will continue to show how its done.
I believe we offered Benny another year, but he was a Chelsea loanee and foolishly went back to the whorehouse…..
He should have stuck with us, but he knew jack was comming back so he would have got very few starts.
found the answer to my own question. 6 teams from the 6 confeds, world cup winner and host nation. Spain won the world cup and Euros so Italy qualify as the euro finalists
Knew you’d figure it out, teamspirit.
Yeah, it helps a bastard like Blatter legitimise this fiasco by always having two very strong European teams in it. Plus South aAmerican and African champions. The rest are random luck dip. This time we get South American champions Uruguy PLUS Brasil.
luck cunty Blatter.
I heare the reception he got from the locals at the opening ceremony was classic.
Sorry George, 1:02 was the best complement, you don’t need more.
Great posting, as always.
1.02 ? you have lost me DC .
June 19th, 1:02 pm
What’s the link to your twitter account PG?
I was reading some of the carnage you left on the other site from January and February.
Shits should be told they are shits.
You called them the lying basterds they stil are.
Bunch of twats is what they are DC
Hay DC. All well here. Catching the second half of Nigeria / Uruguay. 1-1 now.
The offer we made to Benny was for another year of loan which chelski refused outright. They wanted to sell and couldn’t so they loaned him to westham instead as to not strengthen the ARSENAL unintentionally. I believe he really enjoyed his stay at our club and if he is still as effective and not too old wouldn’t mind him bought as a squad player. Hard working fellow.
I think Dortmund do not want to sell to Bayern their most effective striker, if they have a choice. I rate him and think he is clinical but if I had a choice between Higuain and big Lew I would get Gonzalo as he offers us a different dimension . Big Lew and Olivier are similar in style.
What do you think of Suarez as a player?? I would not mind him or someone with his qualities at the club to complement OG next season…
Hah. Oldman Forlan scores with a rocket.
Cavani been very disappointing. 5 offside calls on him alone.
Alisher usmanove on the board of Arsenal. NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. AW will pack his bag in a heartbeat and with him all the core players would leave. How many more years will we have to suffer at the hands of Dein and his son.
As we speak, cavani misses his second sitter of the game…
With Caroll signing for west ham finally will they still want Chamacorony as a loane or is he heading back??
Looks like me and my friends aren’t the only ones to admire The Prince:
Elsewhere you can read the purchase of the poor man’s Scotty Parker (well, he took a pay cut!) described as a ‘panic buy’.
So glad he isn’t in Brazil right now. Replaced by the chap who sometimes played (not so well) for City last season. Interestingly the protests in Brazil got more coverage then the protests against Murdochball here in London the other day. We all here support such instincts but that doesn’t mean we can’t laugh or cry at someone who believes that the way forward is to put a bin liner over your head.
I did chuckle at 7am’s post, mourning for Jabba’s little jiblets. The poor dears.
Still, I haven’t seen Uncle Jabba down me local, not even on quiz night.
I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
That AST survey is a real eyeopener I can tell you.
There are clearly a group of fans, a tiny tiny minority admittedly, who are entirely happy with not only the quality of the players and the manager, but also quite happy with Stan.
Clearly as loyal Arsenal supporters we must expose these bastards, hunt them down and hand them over to Mr Peyton to be executed.
(inserts banned winking thing)
The excitement mounts…
The Excitement Mounts must surely be a range of hills in New Zealand (probably somewhere near The Remarkables).
I am excited.
The Theo Walcott appreciation club is growing.
Stats: they have some uses. I’ve compared Theo’s stats with his sorry arsed English rivals and with Pedro (The Spanish Theo) before, which unfortunately did not amuse those ITK. this dude has taken it to the next level.
Fins, I dare say we might not have made 4th last season without Theo. He came through with some big goals in the final run-in that grabbed points for us. There is an interesting ranking of player values that 7am wrote an interesting piece about a couple of days ago. Theo was in the top 50 players.
He has definitely improved his game the last two seasons. I’ve seen him more regularly dribble past a player and use close control and not just speed. When he does his defensive work his pressing has improved. Also his crossing seems better to me than in the past.
Of course, holding out for the contract and exploiting our dependence on his goals and the departure of RvP to hold AFC to ransom in his negotiations wasn’t especially endearing. But, he is becoming an influential player and presumably can, if he works and stays free of long-term injury, get better and better over the next 3-4 years. Judas said last season that Theo would score 20 goals and we only had one season to wait on that prediction.
Btw, I think I understand Italy’s place in the confed cup tournament now–not that anyone other than Team Spirit cares!. The six confederations and host nation provide teams plus the reigning world cup holders to make 8 teams total. Since Spain are both WC holders and UEFA Euro winners, the UEFA representation has gone to the Euro finalist runner up–Italy. So it is possible for two confederations to have two representatives (Brazil and Uruguay from Conmebol and Spain and Italy from UEFA) and it would be possible for one confederation to have three teams if the host nation and WC holder were from the same confederation, I believe. (Say it was held in Istanbul this year, for example.)
On another side topic, George, how are plans progressing for a PA podcast? Maybe something being cooked up for the start of next season, hopefully?
“As we speak, cavani misses his second sitter of the game…”
Hopefully he normally plays better than that or someone is going to be spending an awful lot of money on an Andy Carroll alike!
Theo’s been a key player of late. Lots of important goals there towards the end. Very encouraging on so many levels. And he wasn’t bad the season before, of the one before that!
The boy’s done good.
I remember him stepping up when Henry took the field for BBB, when Henry was coaching (oi reckon that lifted his form more then any chats with his agent), in many many big games too numerous to mention.
There’s room for him in the squad!
I think he’s been upgraded from deadwood (is very useful, we build stuff from it) to heartwood.
Good post – nice to see someone giving Denilson some credit and respect for his contribution to the club.
Just had a positive thought pop out from the depths which gave me reason to go “woo” . Last October my daughter gave me, for my birthday, a piece of paper entitling me to a free visit to the Emirates Stadium. Have been there obviously a lot of times but have not, as yet, ever done the tour. Had forgotten the piece of paper ’til just now.
So, once again “woo”. Over the next fortnight on one of my days off I’m going to enjoy my daughter’s thoughtful gift.
Just sharing – smiley face
Anyone done the ‘tour’ at all?
Deadwood to heartwood–nice one, Fins!
Steve,Andrew has done it .He loved it
Cheers George. Am looking forward to it.
