What is Positively Arsenal?
Positively Arsenal was created in January 2013 by Blackburn George to provide a platform for like-minded Arsenal fans to come together to enjoy their magnificent football club. We, who post on PA, choose to celebrate the excitement of the football played, the quality of the players and the coaches, and the exhilaration that the attacking style of Arsenal football in its pure form. We cheer victory, we commiserate in defeat. We seek the positive and are never despondent. Six years on from PA’s birth, 1,100 articles, 95,000 comments and 720,000 + visitors and 1.9 million page views suggest Blackburn George is on to something. PA will provide an oasis of support amidst, at times, the ocean of doom and hysterical misery. If you review our visitors in the map above from over time you will see enjoying Arsenal in a Positive way is not a matter of geography.
If you are a fan of the club who needs to vent their frustration by denouncing players who are “Notfittoweartheshirt”, or who delights disparaging the efforts of the club’s former or current coaches then the site is probably not for you. If you are an expert in the football transfer market, in sports medicine, in the mechanics of running a £1.5 billion sports business etcetera then it may be that PA is an insufficient platform for that abundance of your accumulated knowledge. There are many other blogs on which you will be much, much more at home.
To enjoy supporting Arsenal is a choice. Choose wisely.
Sounds ruddy marvellous and long overdue. The blogosphere is choked with agenda driven miseries – it’s about time those of us who still enjoy watching football can share our thoughts.

“To enjoy supporting Arsenal is a choice. Choose wisely.”
My choice couldn’t have been easier.
The quote is so apt in today’s tumultuous climate seen at Arsenal, be it the club, AW, the players, the fans or the experts.
Lots of opinions shared and sneered at has left me a bit estranged from Arsenal fans ( at least from the loudest ones).
I stumbled upon this website, by searching “something positive about Arsenal”, as I was exhausted seeing the flurry of negative remarks on Arsenal & AW.
Reading the articles here on PA, I get my identity back as an Arsenal fan.
The views expressed has an injection of rationalism and I find most of it relatable to my sentiment and delights me to find that I’m not alone.
Arsenal fan unity has come under scrutiny and I feel a sense of division has crept in, with social media playing a key part, by turning opinions/voices to movements. Opinions should always be respected and allowed to be voiced, but never allowed to interfere with the our unity; our solidarity. It’s clear to see that social media has recently been too biased on Arsenal’s future, branding it a sunk ship. And the more I consume these views, the more it appears as feigned concern.
Arsenal’s & AW’s future was not questioned with the same severity and the furore seen these past months when we did have the unbeaten run earlier in the season. “Same old Arsenal” isn’t it? – Hence, why It feels more of an agenda to create hype for popularity or a genuine attempt to destabilise Arsenal.
I am upset with the recent turn of events. Our recent performance questions our unity, commitment, intelligence and heart. The loss against Palace comes at a pivotal point of this season and should be as a sever jolt to our performances on and off the pitch. Fingers crossed for a positive Arsenal reaction overall.
I’ve found my solace here, I choose PA.
Keep it real-tional 🙂
thank you.
Come on The Arsenal!

Never realised how jealous people could be of our club. The constant denigration of our players, AW and board and the belittling of the club’s achievements by the media and certain so-called fans just goes to prove how important Arsenal FC really is and why it is the best club in the world ! COYG

The “About Positively Arsenal” tries to explain what we are about Ranty and in spite of the name, in spite of the ethos spelled out in two short paragraphs, still they come. I guess some people, apparently Arsenal ‘fans’ just have an unstoppable torrent of misery and disappointment they just HAVE to get out.
Germ of an idea for a new blog there ? “MiserablyArsenal.com”

I think a website that encourages any view – positive, indifferent or negative is better
We are not meant to be a corporate organisation where as fans we are told how to feel but a football club where we say what we feel
