In their Arsenal-West Ham review for the #UncensoredArsenal, both Shotta and Blackburn George are critical of the goal-scoring impotence of the Gooners despite their massive superiority in possession. They both agree that it is time for a change; either a change the system or an upgrade to the strikers

that puts the tin hat on it, one win in six games, four defeats, its no longer a blip, we have a tactical crisis

have to say that the stats about how many shots we have had in recent games and the lack of goals is for me very deceiving, yeah we have had the shots, and yes we have had many of them in good positions, but despite all those 60 or 70 shots, we really have barely created what could be described as an unmissable chance, rarely a one on one with the keeper, yes we should have done better with some of them, but I do think there is no freedom in our play, and to score lots of goals the players have to feel freedom, they are taking that extra touch, they hesitate, the rush it, are all signs of over thinking it, due to over coaching.
Think it was George who put up a tweet with some of our 08 play, and so much of it was of the cuff, was full of freedom of expression, players enjoying it, players not having to think about it, just going for it, contrast that to how we attack now, even the best passages of our attacking play are so clearly rehearsed, its over coached, over thought and so lacks the natural element that leads to lots of goals.
The don’t call it natural goalscorer for no reason, how many more natural goalscorers are going to have to flop under Arteta’s micro management before people realize its a tactical problem not a player problem

Ed, is correct about everything. The difference today was the managers.
Klopp not afraid to put on two youngsters, 0-0 away from home crunch time in the last fifteen minutes of a cup tie. Mikel refusing to play our clubs most natural striker or even make more than one sub until it’s too late.
After all the money we have spent have we really improved since Arsene had his wings clipped.

seems omari hutchinson’s brother has put a few noses out of joint for daring to suggest that the academy players at arsenal need rescuing from Arteta as he will never give them a chance and that the reason omari left was cos he knew he wouldn’t get played by arteta

seen someone reason that the reason why Arteta has not given game time to Walters, Sousa, Lewis-Skelly, Cozier-dubberry or Nwaneri is cos they are “key players for the U23’s”, you really have to laugh at the way they come up with excuses for everything he does, its never on him, he has no hand act or part to play in his poor signings, his team selections, his tactics etc etc etc

Our academy players must hold the record for the most times named on the bench without actually making an appearance.
Alot of people said, including myself, that Nwanrei’s appearance was A) to make him sign professional terms and B) as a PR stunt to avoid the criticism Mikel was receiving about not liking academy produced players.
The ironic thing is it was the home grown players that saved his arse against chelski when he had made the worst start to a PL season ever.
It is difficult to trust the process when it seems to have reached a ceiling.
We are still a really good side but haven’t been a really good side in most seasons for decades.

reports that we are in for Amadou Onana of Everton, a loan deal with an obligation to buy in the summer, said to be a £60M fee

I have heard both clubs are thinking about a dodgy deal where the loan/ permanent deal looks like it gives money to Everton now but also looks like we won’t lose money out of our account until summer. I don’t know how that works but heh.
They are now saying the talks are at an advanced stage so maybe more than just a rumour.
