If ever there was a game that proves “the eye test” doesn’t work, this was it. What I thought I had been watching was nothing like the reality when I saw the stats of how some of our prayers had actually had tremendous games. Watching I felt it was a poor game, but now on reflection, I believe it was a performance to be really proud of. Anyway, here is the podcast, let me know in the comments what you think.

Just a quick one on the recent Webb defending the undefencible.
We all know Webb was a referee who always looked like he was easily swayed by certain people and always had his favourites but his arrogance now is off the charts.
It makes me absolute rage when these ex referees start spouting how officials have to follow the rules when they never did and PIGMOL continues to ignore them.
This bollocks about they don’t want VAR to re-referee incidents when that’s exactly what technology is there for.
It is long past the time when this organisation is disbanded and a new structure put in place.

And to to think that Michael Oliver went to Abu Dhabi(?) the week before as a century ref and earned boat loads of money. It’s not merely arrogance, it’s just plain corruption.

Michael Oliver and the pgmob following on the footsteps of their hero Don Revie.
The pgmob is the Mob that chose “The Don” to over Clough. Not that Don but The Don (similar vibes hehe). Mobs & Dons eh?
Is it the same crowd that thought Xhaka was not a good player!? Blimey.
The same crowd who’ve retarded English Football since that ignoble decision to bar Clough.
Currently the best generations of players from any country on the planet almost making Germany 2014 look like an U21 team. Southgate over Howe almost has echoes of the Revie & Clough story. But of course Southgate is not like the Don he has some redeeming qualities even if I do prefer to watch paint dry over watching one of his teams attempting to play Football.

We have long commented on here about not letting the score influence feelings on the game and it sounds like George’s enthusiasm for our attack clouded his judgement.
I thought we played very well watching the game and the midfield axis of Jorginio and Rice were impeccable and disrupted cities flow through the centre of midfield especially through the counter.
At the same time we certainly shouldn’t over rely on stats as they are only the skeleton and all the circumstances around them provide the meat on the bones.
If you have ten shots from outside the box that roll to the keeper, the stats will say ten shots on target when watching the game we would all know these would be non substantial.
The stats that created player ratings, that Shotta displayed, were absolutely wrong having watched the game.
All this said it was a fantastic win

Big game today against the most expensively assembled squad in PL.
Eventually they will come good so we have to make sure it’s not today.
Eddie, Kai, Declan and. Jourgino all play against there old club with the managers playing together and others playing together nationally it’s a real love fest today.
Fortunately the fans still hate each other so after beating city last week 3 points are very much necessary COYG.

FT: 2-2
awful stuff for long spell of the game from us, soft penalty and poor second goal given away, Rice with a screamer and Trossard got us the point. Raya had a game to forget, still to see anything from him that suggests he is an upgrade on Ramsdale.
Odegaard, Saka and Jesus were all ineffectual today.

This was always going to be a difficult game. chelusa expensively assembled squad worked hard to harass us all over the pitch and when we did get periods of possession they retreated into there own half with eleven behind the ball.
At times it was full Maureen park the bus and quick counters
When you take stock of the whole game the bits of bad luck and another poor referee, then you have to think this was a good point.
Yes it was a definite pen but the ball would not of gone in so you have to consider it unlucky and the second was obviously a fluke. Raya might have been considered out of position but he always stands on his six yard line and if this happens once a season then the advantage it brings is better than having a keeper like Leno who would stay on his line no matter what.
Raya also recovered his poor pass and took the ball off miss Jacksons feet when clean through. His hands are generally clean and although there is not much between the keepers I do think he is slightly ahead. Whether that justifies the loan, fee and wages is still to be seen.
Jesus is getting more like Alexis, in his death throws, every week. He tries to dribble too much and puts us in trouble time and time again he shouldn’t be in the starting eleven.
The fourth goal was excellent and the only goal of the game that was created and not given by mistakes.
Strangely this game emphasizes our growth and our will to not be beaten.
