Should be more worried about Xhaka leaving.

some rumors that another two former Arsenal players, Greg Lincoln – played in our youths and reserves, and Ryan Garry, played in our first team before injury destroyed his career, have both lost their jobs as Academy Coaches at Arsenal, Garry was part of Steve Bould’s coaching team with the U23’s, he had been there with Freddie Ljunberg too

Why would we want to keep such a player as Xhaka after his performance tonight?
I suspect he is simply too good for us.
As we are mediocre and getting more mediocre, why would we have any need for a good player?
France out. Portugal out, perhaps England really has a chance now.

I think you could be right on the academy front. But I feel that Steve Bould has been gradually edged out over the last few seasons. Part of the Hokey Cokey that seems sadly to be the Arsenal way.

Absolute Madness letting Xhaka go.
Suspect Italy are favourites, unless they run out of steam, prefer watching them to boring Belgium
Southgate might have to let the handbrake off a little more to beat some of these teams, will be interesting to see what he does

just think Many how good the replacement for xhaka is going to be.
If the likes of the Atletic and David ornstein are to be believed we will see Xhaka, Torreira, Guendouzi, Bellerin, Kolasinac and likely Nketiah, AMN and Nelson all leave this summer. Maybe Saliba too without kicking a ball for our first team. And others too. With maybe up to 7 or even 8 players coming in. If that does happen then Arteta will have no excuses, it will be his squad, his team, and we will see his master plan.

What a glorious day’s football that was.
Really pleased for Xhaka but at same time brings with it plenty of frustration, especially watching so many claim it was some rare mysterious performance from him, rather than a very good player having a very good match on a big stage.

On Bould front, came as big surprise to me we were advertising for replacement afterwards. Made it a different thing than letting him go because someone lined up who it was felt was outstanding candidate for role.
If it’s all based on results, as twitter defence of move has it at least, good luck to the next guy, as all signs point to us again loaning out plenty, including most of the experienced and or physical lads, and having a smallish inexperienced group.

Given that the Arsenal Blaggers have waged another hound them out campaign for years against Xhaka, watching a barely fit Ramsey and an unfit Vermaelan contributing at the top level of the sport then is is fair to conclude that this tournament has proven one thing as former arsenal players from Ashley Cole to Jack Wilshere and all plundits admit that two defensive midfielders or three at the back is worse then shit Football (when you are not the clear underdog and have no excuse for that shite!):
The Arsenal Blagger and hangers on knows sweet FA about the Football. By their own admission.
“Ramsey and Ozil can’t play together” after we all saw them win three fa cups in four years together.
What a useless and let’s be honest pathetically nasty shower they are. What do you do with Arsenal blaggers who spent years celebrating the denigration in quality and super agents bleeding of the Arsenal? You put them in the bin. End of.

The see you next Tuesday’s claiming it was a rare performance must have missed similar from Xhaka opposite Kante in not one but two FA Cup finals.
Sure Kante has Baku but that’s three world class performances in cup games over the apparent “balon” nominee…
I guess the Arsenal Blaggers not only know fuck all about the Football, they also must either have the memory of a lobotomised goldfish or they are just nasty, little, liars. Hmmmm.
What a shower the Arsenal blagger has been shown to be by this tournament! Got to love the Football!!!

So we are going to bring in 7 or 8 newcomers, to add to a similar number of Arteta’s already prize catches.
Anyone with a modicum of basic intelligence will know that new players tend to take a year or so to bed in, so we are now to expect virtually an entire team of new players to click straight away and take us up to top 4?
The dream world inhabited by so many fans and bloggists has become even larger and crazier as they fawn over Arteta and his process.
I saw one state, quite unabashedly, that Arteta had done a great job with the resources he had.
The social media has become such a great menace that the Government are now trying to stop schoolchildren from taking their phones to school.
What about the poison they imbibe during the rest of the day when they are not in school?
In truth, this is the only blog I visit on a regular basis. The others I might go to on occasion to see the nonsense and have a good laugh.
AS I lose interest in football, thanks to Arteta and Edu, I also lose interest in blogs. However, I should say the France -Switzerland game was excellent.
Can we look forward to another exciting game this afternoon, or will it be another sterile defensive battle between 2 scared teams?

Cagey but too tense to be sterile.
this German team only sparkled in this tournament when targeting the much maligned Portuguese right back. England have the better finishers/squad imo and that showed in the end.
Xhaka outperforming Kroos in this tournament but probably that is not surprising as the former is his in his peak and the latter a veteran. Good time to sell him I suppose FML.
The draw after the groups was promising for England, odds on to get to the final and my favourites with France out

Was Southgate’s defensive impulse in this knockout game less severe then either the two WC winning coaches?
For the German press their coach buckled and switched their formation to three CBs at the start of the tournament.
Southgate matched the German 343 which we’ve seen used successfully in differing styles by Arsenal Chelsea and perhaps City too in recent seasons. for me the big call from the German coach was not the change to this formation it was the call chose to not deploy Gundagon in the slightly advanced role where he prospered for City.
Did their coach miss the European Cup Final? Germany had very little creativity except against Portugal’s right back.
Deschamps knockout glitch was to suddenly opt for what appears to be less fluid 352 as it looked like a 532 for France and that choice to ignore talented attackers backfired spectacularly.

Greg Lincoln has been at ARSENAL years, I think he was first brought in under Roy. As he has worked with so many youth players it will a bigger gap to fill than Bouldy.
If Bouldy is being moved on because of results surely results are how many players he can produce for the first team. Results on the pitch are hugely effected by the amount of changes that happen game to game because of players being unavailable.
We have less money this year and need a smaller squad, if we get rid of eight players why would we replace them with eight, I really can’t see that especially not in one window.

I suspect that Arteta wants to be seen to be working hard to improve the team and he thinks that the fans will be happy with signings, so that is what he is doing.
Like so much that we have seen at the club in recent years, it may all be nothing more than a mirage.
More signings mean more disriuption to the team and less settled performances.
Let us see what actually happens and how many players actually come in and how many leave.

Over the years a lot of the Blagging reprobates have held up Levy as some kind of Beacon.
Let’s have look at recent events up the road:
Brand new shiny stadium
“Best squad in their history”
No trophies
Took almost three months to find someone willing to coach the club, finally they settled a coach who has been called or by coaches and managers in the Championship for being an Agents lickspittle.
Is Arteta the new Tim Sherwood?
You’d hope not with the cup victory but with so many poor calls since not forgetting the shit Football the thought does cross the mind.

There’s a wonderful litmus test currently available for all arsenal fans to identify toxic blaggers and how little they know about the Football/their lack of honesty and integrity:
Any of these blagging shitebags who discuss the Salbia story without comparing the number of minutes he’s received in the Arsenal first team with the raw rookie Gabriel who was brought into the first team from Brazil as the club put together the worst run of result the club has seen in 25 years, if these blaggers do not have the footballs to comment upon that bizarre call and what we’ve all seen then it’s fair to question their honesty and integrity let alone their lack of knowledge about the Football. Get in the bin!

or something similar, these same guys all knew more than Wenger, but now all of a sudden they don’t even know as much as Arteta.

Report – Jimi Gower hits brace; Davies makes debut as Arsenal U18s thrash Chelmsford City
Pre-season friendly
Chelmsford City academy 0 Arsenal U18s 4 (Edwards (pen.), Green, Gower (2)
Arsenal U18s commenced their pre-season preparations and the Dan Micciche era in impressive style as they secured a 4-0 victory away to Chelmsford City’s academy today.
Jimi Gower, one of ten players brought on at the start of the second half, scored a brace after a penalty from Khayon Edwards and a strike from Kaleel Green had put Arsenal in the ascendancy in the opening period.
It is difficult to draw too many conclusions from this game given the opposition and the fact that we are still in the very early stages of pre-season but Micciche, who has stepped up from being U16s coach to take charge of the U18s, will have been very encouraged by much of what he saw and will acknowledge that he may have some difficult selection dilemmas to contend with when the real action gets underway.
Arsenal were without Charlie Patino, Omari Hutchinson, Marcelo Flores, Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Zane Monlouis, Luigi Gaspar and Jack Henry-Francis, who are still eligible to play at this level but have instead been training with the U23s.
Micciche included the rest of the U18 players in his matchday squad with the exception of forward Billy Vigar, who has returned to training but still isn’t fully fit after missing the end of last season through injury.
Although Arsenal have traditionally deployed a 4-2-3-1 formation at U18 level for many years, occasionally switching to a back three, Micciche opted for a slightly different approach for his first game in charge as he used a diamond system.
There were runouts for first-year scholars Josh Robinson, Tino Quamina, Bradley Ibrahim, Elian Quesada-Thorn, Mathaeus Roberts and Green from the outset, with the likes of Remy Mitchell, Taylor Foran, James Sweet, Khayon Edwards and Charles Sagoe Jr providing a little more experience.
Mitchell
Robinson-Foran (C)-Quamina-Quesada Thorn
Ibrahim
Sweet-Roberts
Sagoe Jr
Green-Edwards
Understandably, it took the Arsenal players a little while to adapt to the new system, but there were still some impressive moments early on.
Sweet, who was determined to make an impact on his return from injury, did well to win a corner in the early stages before Quamina had to be alert to cut out the danger at the other end.
Although the pace of the game was rather slow to begin with, most of the attacking threat came from Arsenal, with Robinson pushing forward from right-back to excellent effect.
Edwards, who has already demonstrated that he can find the net at U18 level, saw a shot pushed wide following a slick move, and, as the half wore on, Arsenal began to assert more control on proceedings.
Eventually Chelmsford were caught out, with the lively Green being fouled in the penalty area after a defence-splitting pass from Roberts. Edwards stepped up to take the spot-kick and converted it with aplomb.
Remy Mitchell had to make a save shortly afterwards but Arsenal’s dominance was starting to tell and it was 2-0 before half-time, with Green scoring with an emphatic finish after the ball was played upfield.
It was far from a perfect first half from Arsenal but it ended very well indeed.
As anticipated, given that the players only commenced training just over a week ago, there were a significant amount of alterations at the break, with Quesada-Thorn the only player to retain his place in the side.
Among the ten players brought on were Ismail Oulad M’Hand and Henry Timi Davies, both of whom were making their U18 debuts for the club.
Ismail, a central midfielder who is both combative and classy, is the brother of Salah-Eddine, while Davies is a tall and athletic forward signed from Manchester City. Both helped Arsenal to produce a more coherent performance in the second half.
Goalkeeper Alex Kovacevic also came on, as did defenders Reuell Walters, Henry Jeffcott and Zach Awe. Mauro Bandeira wore the captain’s armband on his return from injury, with Gower, Amani Richards and Amario Cozier-Duberry entering the fray as well.
Kovacevic
Walters-Awe-Jeffcott-Quesada Thorn
Ismail
Bandeira-Cozier Duberry
Gower
Richards-Davies
Richards, who has already played for the U23s, started the half well and produced an impressive piece of skill, although he wasn’t able to locate a team-mate with his subsequent cross.
Chelmsford briefly threatened as Kovacevic was called into action, but Arsenal’s quality eventually shone through and the hard-working Gower made it 3-0 as he closed down the Chelmsford goalkeeper and the ball defelcted into the net.
Foran was brought back on in place of Quesada-Thorn, with Jeffcott moving across to left-back.
Arsenal sought another goal in the closing stages, with Walters frequently getting forwards from right-back.
Bandeira did well to create space for himself but his shot lacked conviction, then Davies showed off his pace as he burst forward and found Richards, but the latter’s effort was closed down.
Eventually Arsenal did make it 4-0, with Gower getting his second of the game with a neat finish following good work from Bandeira.
The U18s are set to head to Devon next week for a training camp, which will include a friendly against Tavistock AFC. They will also be facing Hendon later this month as the countdown towards the new season continues.
In terms of the star performers today, Gower certainly deserves a lot of credit, with the midfielder having now scored three goals in two games at this level.
It is also clear that Micciche has attacking options in abundance, with Edwards, Green, Richards and Davis all posing very different yet significant threats.
The system that Micciche deployed today also allows the right-back to get forward, as Robinson and Walters both did superbly today.
Ismail also gave a good account of himself on his debut and Sagoe Jr showed that he is determined to impress in a crucial season for his development as he looks to earn a professional contract.
It is the start of a long road, but Micciche will hope that Arsenal U18s will be able to head in the right direction under his guidance.

Not correct.
I have been looking at these other views ad nausium and have concluded that the world of blogging has now come full circle and is not worth the effort in reading the rubbish or trying to respond to it.
If I am wrong about Arteta and the damage he has done and will continue to do, then that will be fine.
I just think that I am not. I hope that I have been too optimistic about him and the immediate prospects.
One cannot simply give up 60 years of supporting, like giving up drink or smoking, but my decreasing lack of interest, caused by Arteta and his “process” helps to ease the discomfort.
