Fans Take New Signing Badly ! What’s New?

So ,Arsene Wenger is proven right once again – nothing new there says you ?

Last season the malcontents took umbridge when AW said, when discussing how LCFC were able to sign the likes of Mahrez and Kante, despite the big clubs having the exact same scouting info on both players, that a section of Arsenal fans would react negatively if AFC bought a player for £400k, that they did not want to see an unknown signed.
The malcontents told us this was bollocks, yet look at the reaction of the malcontents to the signing of Takuma Asano.
Not only is there negative hysteria from them, its xenophobic, and in some cases downright racist. We also have the brainless soundbite that its a “commercial” signing, or a “shirt sales” signing.
One of the most laughable reasons (should that not be excuses, as I know they like to use that term, when it suits them), for their over the top reaction to this signing, is that it is “all Arsenal FC’s fault”, as they should know better than to announce his signing when Utd have announced Mkhitaryan and Zlatan. They say AFC should have waited till we had a big name(money) signing done and slip in the news about Asano, with it.
So to compound their initial attacks on both AFC and Asano, they have totally disrespected the player again.
Does Takuma Asano not deserve respect, is he not a full International, is he not likely to be playing at the Olympics, did he not have up to 200 scouts running the rule over him at the Toulon U21 tournament in the summer, is he not a big star in his home country, is he not young player of the year in his homeland(their Dele Alli per say, but without the hype)?

Does he not deserve the chance in his last couple of game for them, to say goodbye to his club, their fans, his team mates?

Arsenal announced the deal, cos the story had broken in Japan, Asano was already getting asked lots of questions about it, and he had admitted the move was happening, he even said that the only thing to be decided was if he would join up directly with AFC, or go on loan to get used to European football.

  1. CONFIRMED: ARSENAL YOUNGSTERS TO BE INVOLVED IN FOOTBALL LEAGUE TROPHY
    by jeorge bird

It has been confirmed that Arsenal’s academy will be involved in the Football League Trophy this season.

The re-formatted competition will enable the club’s youngsters to test themselves against senior players from League One and League Two, with teams initially taking part in group fixtures before the knockout rounds begin.

The group stages of the competition will be regionalised, and invited clubs, such as Arsenal, must field at least six U21 players in each game.

The competition commences next month, culminating in the final at Wembley in April.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Arsenal’s starlets to experience the demands of first-team football , which is sure to benefit them in the future.

Several other major academies will be participating, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

The majority of the text in the Chilcot Report was left-aligned. The rest was centred.

Just like the Iraq war, none of it was justified.

  3. its been confirmed that Asano has been included in the Japan squad for the Olympics.

it looks like Iwobi won’t be going with Nigeria, as he and AFC want him to concentrate on him establishing himself in the Arsenal team.

  5. I see Celtic have completed their installation of a safe standing area in their ground. Of course this has led to the malcontents attacking Arsenal for not having a safe standing area. Never mind that the law in England prohibits any such safe standing area.

  7. so joe say told the press yesterday that rooney would be in attack this season, well with zlatan joining, where will that leave rashford, maybe that is why the agents friend was so keen to brag about his impressive record of promoting youth to the first team, 49 he told the press, but then e mailed a list of 55, rashford should be comforted with the news that out of the 55, a full total of 9 of them actually played more than 90 minutes for joe say, rashford is a talented kid, so surely he can be confident he can be number 10 in the list of talented youths to play a full game for a joe say team. Well that is if Raiola does not have more expensive signings for his friend to buy from him

Many Arsenal fans have concluded that since AFC have not consulted them personally over who to buy this summer, the club are getting no one.

  24. Wales were always going to suffer without POTTTD (player of the tournament to date), couldn’t bear to watch the game but i saw the closing ten and heard Craig Bellemy plunditting afterwards and his first comment to his audience to summarise the match was:

We might have understated the impact Ramsey (or any other Arsenal footballer) has had.

  25. seemingly Ramsey has said he expects that he, Ozil, Koscielny and Giroud will all miss the start of the season.
They are likely to get 4 weeks off before returning to training, and without getting pre-season games, it might take them a while to get fully match fit. Of course they all might get game time for the reserves.

  33. if Arsenal do sign Sidibe, watch it being spun as a panic signing or cheap option by Wenger, it will be that he wanted Rodrigues, but dithered till his buy out clause lapsed, and so AW then went for a cheap French league player, who nobody knows.

  38. Brady, Giles and Dunphy are in meltdown over Kante not being in the France team, none of them can find any reason for it. Even when they said Sissoko give a far more attacking side to the team. To listen to the 3 of them, you would think none of them had ever seen Matudi play, or know that he plays DM, and that its him who is keeping Kante out, not the Arsenal loving newcastle man.
Brady’s refusal to back up Ozil, is putting him down my list of Arsenal greats, LB was on his back in the last game, and now lets Dunphy talks shit about him.

Interesting observation eduardo, does the highly modern josay ever do punditry? I’m not sure anyone would be interested in anything he has to say about the game since he only knows one way to play, i.e. buy the expensive bus, park the expensive bus, use all the gamesmanship in the world to cheat your way to a goal, rinse and repeat ad nauseum.
