George and Ronan with Geoff (@geoffarsenal) shoot the shit about Arsenal.
Thanks so much.
It seems to have been a long time.
I was thrilled to listen to you all.
I wanted more.
Hurray! Haven’t got time to listen now, but I will save this for when I finish work. Thanks.
Wow! That was great boys. Worth the wait. Have to say I agree with almost everything said.
Good one gents, well worth a listen.
I won’t get the chance to listen till later, but I wanted to say happy anniversary to Positively Arsenal. Thanks to Andrew, George, Stew and Ronan, and all other guests and commentators.
Great stuff yet again chaps
Michael Owen pointed out recently that you do not lose pace after this type of injury because the anterior cruciate ligament connects two bones. Tendons connect muscle to bone. Speed is down to the status of your muscles. Theo did not rupture a tendon, so he should regain his explosive speed.
His rehabilitation will be to recover his ‘proprioception’ which is, “the sense of the relative position of neighboring parts of the body and the effort needed to create movement. In other words, it is what allows an athlete to feel like himself again.” This is what he may not quite recover….(http://tinyurl.com/pbnxc85)
Fantastic listen, gets a lot of stick on twitter does Geoff-but I bloody love him! One thing though boys-Arteta got sent off in Naples so it’s the Flame for Munich.
im sorry but the theme is exactly the theme ive been talking about …….
where will the goals come from?
if we buy we must buy something better or equal
that its tricky to rely and demand that players coming from injury to carry us on
you are all talking about possible solutions as to not suffer any december blips when big titles are decided basically..because asa geoff rightly notes ..the backlash from fans and media will be unforgiving
everything has its price….suarez now..stan 80m now ( note that unlkike twittertwats i dont ask wenger for anything…its not up to him…its up to the owner….all these things have been mentioned …all of them..)
yes ok liverpool might not want to sell but fuck them ……throw them an offer they cant refuse and see if they still object …hehe…..
geoff has got it right..its in fornt of us..and people are telling us to get bebratov and morata when we have satan right here!!!!!! who wanted to come to us too!!!
Good podcast gentlemen – interesting times
Interesting that Ozil was at Colney weeks before he signed.I never knew that
Theo messed his knee up making the challenge on Rose. His foot landed awkwardly in front of Rose and Rose’s inertia did the rest. I knew he was fucked the minute I saw the challenge in slo-mo. UFC fighters wreck their knees all the time when their opponents put the tiniest amount of pressure on a leg which is at a funny angle.
Yes its very easy to damage a fully extended limb
Excellent. George, I think Theo would have added to an already goal happy squad. We’re going to feel his absence in terms of service to Goroud. He started to build an understanding with Giroud similar to the one hhad with Van Persie. If we can get a few goals from Gnabry and the Ox, while putting the ball on a platter for Giroud, Theo’s absence will not affect us as much.
Nice one gents, enjoyed that.
It’s nice listening to a sane discussion. Weldone guys.
I’m still a lil surprise @ hunter harping abt for days on signing Suarez as I think it’s a pipe dream considering what happened in the summer and how he eventually signed another contract. Though stranger things has happened in the past, bt I’ll rather we go for a more realistic option IF Arsene really want to sign the “pacey, ultra fast, goal machine/winger” that most fans are hanging out for.
As much as signing(s) wouldn’t jeopardise our chance(s) of winning silverware, I still strongly believe that we can cope till the end of the season if we have a little bit more luck on the injury front.
Thanks for the effort guys. Nice to hear the discussion.
Great stuff, thanks George, Ronan and Geoff.
“Interesting that Ozil was at Colney weeks before he signed.I never knew that”
A plan, eh? hehe. Not bad for a collective of idiots who were only good for stumbling from one bungle to the next, so we were told.
Tony Atwood had also guessed as much in the days after the transfer in a post on Untold, perhaps that information was released after the window closed? Even though the Groaners out there continue to deny the bleedin’ obvious it would have been impossible for Arsenal to sign Özil without the use of some cloaks and daggers.
And as we had guessed, the Arsenal players walked onto the pitch before that first derby game at the end of August surrounded by a sea of media shite (bad luck Mr. Bose) and misinformed hype knowing that Özil was on the way. Legendary days. The humbling of Levy. I don’t need to make a DVD of this story, of that game, because I am still laughing my arse off.
Lest we forget:
Le Xenophobic Groan, 28th August 2013:
“Spurs (Levy) showing us how business is done in the transfer market… embarrassing.”
No wonder the Groaners are still in denial about how it all came about. They were busy praising the person who was trying his best to hinder Arsenal FC by delaying the sale of a player. A cunning plan, I suppose. Fortunately AFC had Levy’s number. And Perez’s number too!
It’s too funny.
