What did that one-nil result tell us?
Well excuse me for saying this, but it told some of us nothing we didn’t already know. But let’s have a think what it should have told the malcontents.
For starters, despite Spurs spending north of £100 million, and us having a paper thin squad ravaged by injuries, we are a better team.
I felt that we were way below our fluent best and that Santi and Rosicky, despite their efforts, had off-days. With more precisely weighted balls from them, we could have scored a bucket-full. Dont get me wrong, I am not moaning about them, or saying they were bad, just that from our two most technically gifted players, we normally see better.
The upside, which totally outweighs any small downside, is that we had a shape and a tenacity that tells me that the manager is 100% right about this group of players. I would go as far as saying that it’s the most tightly knit squad we have seen under Arsene.
Our dodgy defence is anything but dodgy, no matter what the halfwits in the media say. I still think Bac is by far and away our number one right-back, but Carl is a fine understudy.
Laurent and Per are easily the best centre-back pair in the league.
Even at this early stage. I am confident that Flamini is exactly what we have been crying out for. Not only as cover for Mikel but an actual alternative.
Now, what’s all this rubbish about Arsene not doing tactics? Those looked like different tactics to our normal stuff to me!
I really can’t say how happy I am that Arsene has once again made mugs out of his detractors. When will they learn?
Let’s see what today brings and where we are tomorrow.
Great team, great players, great manager, great club and a great future.
See you all tomorrow.

It’s the ASTs attempt to save face. Like that was possiblecould do that after their ill timed outburst in the Spring of ’11 – when their team at that stage of the season was competing for the title?
There is no need for any further comment, they continue to discredit themselves. Even further: Entrenched. Trapped. Sado-Masochists.

Why would a “Supporter’s Trust” try to undermine the club two days after a famous derby win and a day after what is the biggest player signing the club has ever made (in terms of finances and stature. We bought Real Madrid’s best player after Ronaldo, not some outcast as some wobs try to make us believe).

Fels like this is going to be the mother of all seasons in the EPL.
Liverpool have done pretty well with the balance of their squad.
Pocketbook specialist almost f**ked himself over trying to offload Ba b4 Romelu. How much longer will loyalty to fat Frank supercede Juan Mata?
Fergie Utd are still too “the same” for Moyes to f**k up. Will he play Fellaini ahead of Shinji? Giggs ahead of Shinji? Rooney before Shinji? (if they want to replace Scholes, they need to go get de Guzman)
It won’t take much to destabilize the Etihadists. How well will Pellegrini deal with the inquisition once they stop winning?
The Spuds? ..meh, won’t matter for another year..and we know how much Levy loves summer auctions.
The Toffees have re-jigged pretty well c/o their red manc big bro…could become more of a force.
Villa play like the SWAT team that fizzled out after viagra (luckily they’re not in Europe)
All before a world cup..should be a great season.

They won’t bring me down no way no how. I pity the brainwashed fools lapping every spoon filled humble pie.
At least the team has shut their agents in the stadium on game day and the wins will keep on coming and shutting them up even more so. Against all odds and a section of the support has fu••Ing decided they want to be one of the odds.
Incredible. it won’t influence the them . AW will inform and protect his charges against all outside enemies and from within. Still looking forward to witnessing an extraordinary season ahead for ARSENAL.

Whats up folks. Strange thing that there is two german players that I always wanted to play for Arsenal and today it is a reality. Good job Arsenal…as for the AST and the other having a good moan, they need to get a life.
I am so glad for this little spot. People have claimed that there is room for debate (i agree) what there should not be room for is undermining the greatest manager ever. I can never agree with fostering a vibe that AW is at the end an era and so forth. That is obvioulsy the farthest thing from the truth but the damage has been done. People can say that it is only opinion but opinions are important and they hold influence, especially when coming from someone who is well respected. What do you do know that Arsene’s reign is as fresh as ever after months of calling quits on him? It should publicy renounced as it was publicly spouted.
For me main point of blogs should be to stir up the support to actually support. It should be that when players read the blog that they feel that the people are fully behind them. There is no way that Gervs and Ramsey could have felt that way last season and Theo the season before. A manager such as AW should not be questioned. It is easy to see what has happened over the last few seasons. Sure, Arsene made some mistakes but if he always had money to spend and could have kept his best players Fergie’s retirement would not have been so great, for the world would have recognized the greater manager in AW.
Lasty, what has come across to me is that I don’t need to read through hundreds of comments per day. I would prefer read a few choice comments (on PA) that are in full support of The Arsenal, that are full of excitment about what is happening, and that is that this team is on the rise.
So, thanks George and Adi for this little corner!

“The only fools are those who won’t entertain an alternative point of view”
now thats rich considering those with their extreme alternative views want them to be held as gospel and encourage change of staff/managers and end of eras via insulting and attacking the clubs operations.
may i ask who are these clowns who think so highly of their alternative views and have gone on an ego trip trying to turn white into black ?
sociopath is a nice kind term to describe lawyers turned into football experts…..
and why would there be any need for an alternative way of running things when the current one WORKS ?
isnt it a bit extreme to demand that the whole operations of a company sitting 6th in world rankings ( rich list or uefa coeeficient, take your pick) are changed so as to accomodate the egos and needs of 1000 bitches and their pimps ?

What I don’t underestand is how people can say AFC is not a well run football club. All the evidence points to the fact that it is extraordinarily well run. Anybody with a business background (and some ethics I suppose) would only have admiration for the way AFC does business. There’s some bloggers on someone’s payroll, methinks.

Three days ago we were a club in ‘crisis’ while the noisy neighbours were being hyped up as title challengers. We have really screwed up that narrative, haven’t we?
I have read Arsenal’s announcement of Ozil several times now, and I love how the club took the opportunity to give the moaners several slaps in the face and blow all their worthless theories into the wind.
“I have said throughout the summer that we have been working hard to bring in top quality players to this football club.”
“Mr Kroenke, our controlling owner, has always fully supported Arsène and the Club in making significant investments to strengthen our squad”
“Like all of us, Mr Kroenke wants to see Arsenal winning titles and trophies and he has absolute faith and belief in our manager to achieve that.”
“I am thrilled to be joining a club of the stature of Arsenal”
“I am particularly looking forward to working with Arsène Wenger.”
“From our negotiations it is clear the Club has huge ambition”
Beautiful.
