Arsenal Beat Mundane United.

In their review of Arsenal away to Manchester United, Shotta and Blackburn George conclude that while the Gunners were conservative in their approach they were excellent defensively as they as they comfortably edged a poor United team. They were able to secure the three points necessary to keep their slim title hopes alive. Special kudos to William Saliba who in the eyes of most observers was Arsenal’s man-of-the-match.

  1. several of our academy produced players are off this summer, arthur okonkwo is leaving on a free after several good and successful loan deals, reuell Walters is reported to be leaving having turned down a new contract at AFC, he was an unused sub 20 times without getting his first team debut, so no surprise he wants out, Crozier-duberry has so far not signed on and could be off on a free to Newcastle.

a big worry is Chido Obi Martin our 16 year old goal machine has not yet signed scholarship deal, he can sign a pro deal in some european leagues but can’t do so in England till he turns 17, and reports suggest a whole host of top european teams have offered him a pro deal

  2. Well done Arsenal and Arteta, not the end we dreamt of but it was a very good season and losing out by 2 points probably hurts more than last year. Did I say already I can’t stand Man City

  3. another season over, second now for two seasons in a row, 12 weeks till it all starts again, Euros this summer too, and a lot of arsenal transfer business to be done too.

on transfers, we know Elneny and Cedric are leaving, and i think its a safe bet that if we get any sort of decent fees we will sell Ramsdale, Smith-Rowe, Nketiah and Nelson as none of them got much of a look in all season, same can be said for Fabio Vieira too, the out on loan Lokonga might get a reprieve or just as likely to be sold if anyone pays up, then we have question marks over Zinchenko, Jesus and Partey, with probably Partey the most likely to be sold. Tierney also very likely off this summer too. That after back to back 2nd place finishes is a hell of a lot of team/squad overhaul to be done.

So I’m saying Raya will be signed, and a Ramsdale replacement, probably a first choice CM replacement for Partey, maybe a left back, depending on where we see Timber playing, a striker and a wide forward too, maybe depending on Lokonga going or not another CM rotation player too
