I haven’t quite finished listening yet but nicely balanced and realistic views. My hope is that the the increased own-half stability promised by the new signings will see greater expansiveness gong forward.
What if the whole Gunnersaurus thing is an elaborate ploy? Seeming PR disaster by the club, rescued by gesture from previously vilified greedy pariah. Player and manager bump arms in public show of reconciliation, player and mascot restored to match-day action. Or something.

The Scottish FA have today announced that Southampton player Stuart Armstrong has returned a positive test for COVID-19 while on international duty with the Scotland men’s national team.
Within the announcement, the SFA confirmed that all other members of the squad have returned negative results.
However, the Lothian Health Protection Team in Scotland have identified two players and two members of the backroom staff as ‘close contacts’. As a consequence, our defender Kieran Tierney and Celtic player Ryan Christie – along with one physiotherapist and one masseur – have been advised they will require to self-isolate for 14 days as of yesterday (Tuesday, October 8).
Our medical team have confirmed that Kieran was socially distant at all times from the player who tested positive and has broken no rules regarding COVID-19 protocols. We are currently seeking further advice and clarification of the details.
Kieran has also been in touch and has said: “I’m so disappointed and frustrated to be in this situation. I have adhered to all regulations and made sure I was socially distancing from my team mates in the hotel. I’ve also tested negative. I know Arsenal and the SFA are now in discussions with the Scottish authorities to gain a further understanding.”

Arsenal sign U15 winger Romari Forde from Watford
Arsenal have completed the signing of U15 winger Romari Forde.
The talented youngster, who usually operates on the right flank, was previously at Watford, where he had been playing for the past eight years.
A skilful player, Forde could break into Arsenal’s U16 squad as the campaign progresses.

so according to Emi Martinez he was told by Arteta that he had a 95% chance of starting the season as our no.1, but that was not good enough to get him to stay.

Exclusive: Arsenal have closed their Hale End academy site after a positive COVID-19 test.
A senior member of academy staff travelled abroad & returned to Hale End before receiving results of a test, which later came back positive.

Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba have been left out of Arsenal’s squad for the Europa League group stages.
Mesut Ozil and Sokratis have also been left out.
In addition, Tim Akinola, Jonathan Dinzeyi, George Lewis, Catalin Cirjan, Salah-Eddine, Joel Ideho, Nikolaj Moller and Marcelo Flores haven’t been included as they haven’t been at the club long enough to qualify for the B-list.

Great to see Arsenal Squad for Europa league though Ozil being left out is a big big disappointment.Theway best no 10 In the world being treated by the club will remain a mystery.
Also will be a big let down for the idiots at Arseblog,Legroan and Twitter etc to see Mustafi Xhaka Elneny Kolasinac in the first team.
All Wenger boys in the team led by Wengers son. It shows the type of knowledge these fickle fans pocess.

well Rosicky its amazing to think that someone on the wages Ozil is, will not kick a ball for us till January at the earliest, well he might get a game in the CC, then in Jan he might get an FA Cup game. But I suspect that the rumors in the media that AFC are trying to come to an agreement with both Ozil and Sokratis to terminate their contracts. the only reason why club would not agree to such a thing is that both could sign for another EPL club, and in the case of Ozil, that might come back to bite them in the ass. Imagine if he signed for a top 4 rival and helped them pip us to a CL place this season.
With the signing of Partey, we would look to have the players in midfield to be able to st up to get the best out of Ozil, in a 4-2-3-1 formation

Arsenal have loaned Deyan Iliev to Shrewsbury and Tolaji Bola has joined Rochdale, we now have 8 players on loan at League One clubs, and in total 11 of our u23’s are out on loan.

just one thing on Ozil, if as the nay sayers suggest, he is a bad influence or is disruptive at training, then why the fuck is he part of the training squad, or still at the club, surely for the club to get rid of a disruptive player it would be worth paying him off.

so depending on how much of his reported £350K a week wages are tied into bonus payments Ozil contract would entitle him to get paid up to over £12M more from AFC in the time left on his deal, even if he was on a basic of £200K a week from that, its still over £8M, and some clowns think Ozil should walk away from that contract for the “good” of Arsenal

Ozil offered to cover Gunnersaurus’s salary and although some viewed this as a PR stunt, sources have told ESPN that the pair have formed a bond since he arrived at Arsenal from Real Madrid. [@ESPNFC] Also, Ozil would regularly invite underprivileged or sick children to his box on matchdays at Emirates Stadium with Gunnersaurus a regular visitor to enhance the experience.

Allegedly the now departed scouts were very keen on Partey and Gabriel.
Not including Ozil in the squads for the cup semi and final was the big sign, but I remained hopeful this handicap on the pitch would be avoided this season. Willian had an ok spell second half against Sheffield but it’s not at the same level.
Looking forwards Tierney our for the city game makes it likely there’ll be a back three for that game, it’ll be the midfield and attacking selections that most will be speculating upon.

There was a spell where it looked like Torreira might settle but after a spell out with a few injuries he looked as disaffected during Emery’s disintegrating tenure as many other players, for many reasons.
According to the interviews with Arteta, there were a number of players who wanted out, and they’ve stayed. Things were seriously bad at one stage.
Hard to imagine the new gaffer has not discussed the Ozil story with the old gaffer.
It’s possible to see the Torreira move as a swap with Partey, at some expense.
In over simplistic terms an upgrade there, a downgrade with Willian for Ozil, and Gabriel bolstering the CB options.

Other clubs have been signing good players for less of late, and that is not good.
Not Everton, they have been spending hugely since R&W took over and I guess we are seeing something similar now at AFC.
Everton should be up there in the fight for the 4th-6th positions, a tough contest. Some buoyed by the pgmob handicap, others with good and big squads, some with both, add in the strange context of this congested season without a pre-season (more erratic performances) there could be further surprises after the break and even with big squads performances will be affected by injuries.
with the world going crazy it is safe to say it’s going to be a long season!

What the tits is this new proposal for restructuring prem and football league?
Had a quick read through. Lots going on but nothing standing out all that much in brain, aside from reduced size of prem, until last bit, about special voting rights.
Proposal seems to be that 9 clubs who have been in prem longest get special veto powers, and if 2/3rd (6) of that 9 are in agreement on something…they can change anything, including all the stuff mentioned previously in proposals.
That was my first quick read but find it hard to believe that’s what it means.

Supposing I’m not being a dunderhead and it means something like that, it would probably be a bigger change than inauguration of prem, as it seems to confer near unlimited power on that top group.
Comically, one thing officially listed is that they would have power to remove and appoint head of Prem. I guess Pool and Utd just want it official or something!
Half expected to see something about pgmol, but, effectively, if you’re in charge of who runs prem then you’re pretty much in charge of who runs pgmol anyway.

Can only think the thing is loaded with immediate financial sweeteners to try give it a chance of getting through and putting pressure on resisting clubs, who you’d think would be all prem clubs outside the nine and all ambitious championship clubs.
But if that’s right that they can effectively change terms of anything whenever they want, there’d be a way out of any commitments. Crazy stuff. Someone else have a read and let me know if I’m way off.

This news is almost too predictable but I can’t help but observe that this announcement comes a week after Liverpool and Man Utd were both humiliated on the pitch 7-2 & 1-6 respectively. Hah.
And a hundred years after they were both accused of match fixing and the league was restructured with The Arsenal getting promoted.

Both these two defeats are levels above the 8-2 for an under strength Arsenal a few days after the first team secured a tough CL knockout tie. as we know both these teams have their fan media (the broadcasters) and they’ll get a different tale.
The defeat for Utd at home was something, but they’ve been long hollowed out, a shell of a club (that awful pun is for Shotta, sorry) bounced into the top four with a strong pelanty handicap. it was the defeat of the Champions who had all eleven on the pitch that was mind blowing.
In spite of the lack of creativity from the self inflicted handicap it should be an interesting season ahead for the Gunners.

Fins.You are right regarding the United and Liverpool spanking by Spurs and Villa. Funny when people mocked Wenger for the 8-2 scoreline but fail to acknowledge similar defeats to Fergie.Remember the 6-1 mauling by City at Old Trafford. The latest one is another proof that big clubs too can have a day off.
