From yesterday’s game we can see that officials have two different interpretations of the laws of the game, how can one team compete if they are playing to a different interpretation of the rules to the other team.
The officials are now making more and more match defining decisions per game, they are not just officiating the game to the rules they are changing the game.
Yes you can call me paranoid if you want but when Chambers was sent off my timeline exploded with criticism of the ref the same happened when Sanchez was wrestled to the floor by his neck by Adam.
How can teams compete with ref’s having such fluctuating interpretations of the laws of the game. This problem isn’t a new one it has been going on for a while but it has become more obvious this season, clear penalties not given, bad fouls let go, soft fouls (Gibbs today in the 1st half) given for almost breathing on a player.
Managers like Wenger are playing with one hand tied behind his back, he doesn’t know and you can bet the players don’t know what they can and can’t do on the pitch. If the foul Gibbs was pulled up for was a foul how did Stokes 1st goal stand when Crouch jumped for the ball wasn’t that a slight push and so a free kick .
This isn’t a defend Wenger post because he has to take the blame for the 1st half but come on unless you are totally blind and hate Wenger so much you must see the problems Arsenal and in truth other teams are having with officials. There is no consistency in their officiating today, it is almost like they are trying to even games up with decisions to make it a competitive game.
We have no knowledge or understanding of what the refs report after games, the PMOGL are a secretive organisation who give very little information out. They run the PL officials like their own little mafia organisation.
The thing that really annoys me more than that is that I can see it, you can see these odd decisions, there are blogs who dedicate themselves to this debate (the excellent www.untoldarsenal.com) etc but the media, the all knowing media do not say a word.
Where is the investigation into why we have so few refs in the PL, why no questioning of the PGMOL and why ref’s can’t speak to the media. Why are ref reports not published to the outside world, why can with unerring correctness untold Arsenal predict which refs will get which games and how that ref will act. Why are there no refs in the PL from the south of England, the area of the country with the highest population but no PL refs?
How can in eight months of football the team with the most touches of the ball in the penalty box only have received only 2 penalties in the PL. A foul is a foul it doesn’t matter if you do not go to ground in the penalty area it is a foul and so a penalty.
This has moved on from my rather glib and sarcastic post earlier, this is now more than about Wenger this is affecting all clubs to one extent or another either positively or negatively.
Too many clubs are receiving or not as the case maybe the points they deserve because of strange decisions from officials

Positively Arsenal 
Sadly, some refs….even those in this country heaven forbid,and the people they answer to are likely to be corrupted. Most have their price, and once corrupted, they have you at their call. For some reason, Arsenal seem to be more often than not in the receiving end, that is not to excuse some of the defending …..and lack of fit experienced defenders we saw yesterday. What I find frustrating is that the club, and our CEO who seems to sit on every committee going at least appear to passively accept this status quo. Other clubs I can think of would not be so accepting, maybe they are more involved in whatever it is, have more influence, or maybe we should take a leaf out of their book.
Untold have made links with our fortune with refs taking a serious dip when Mike Riley became head of refs. nobody who has sees some of his performances against us should be surprised at this. Mike Riley, head of refs, yet we never hear a word from him, despite the poor quality of officials we see week in week out.
The game is run on a global level by Blatter, on a European level by a guy who it is alleged took a Picasso off the Russians during World Cup bidding….and as far as I know, has yet to take legal action against his accusers, we need to get used to the fact that some….not all, but some of our players, managers, senior administrators, and most importantly refs are bent. Do our club suffer because we don’t play the game? Are there North West giants the powers that be want in the top four? Do they have a problem with our manager, and his right hand man who once played a part in exposing the Marseilles corruption, something UEFA tried to keep a lid on at the time.
Do our club remain silent because they know a top four place, and all that means is at stake for rocking the boat?

I do find it odd that so many seem to believe that there can not be corruption in English football, It can be in Italy, France, Spain, anywhere but not in England.
Its not like there are club owners in England who gained their massive wealth by underhand or corrupt means,(no oilgarchs here)
and its not like its in the interests of those running the game, and the big TV companies who make fortunes from broadcasting the game worldwide, or the media in general who make a fortune with their massive coverage of the game, to turn a blind eye to corruption in the game, after all its not like it would kill the golden calf they are all making a living from.
No no no, never a chance of corruption in the English game cos surely those making fortunes out of the game would not let the drop in revenue deter them from exposing it.

Bellerin, Chambers Ajayi gibbs could well be our defense v Gala, chambers is suspended next weekend so should play midweek, Debuchy may be back in the squad, but might be best to use him as a sub, or we may play him RB and move Bellerin to LB, he played some games there for Watford last season. Couple of our younger left backs are injured at the moment – BOO and Moore – so we are restricted in who we can rotate in. Campbell, Podolski, Sanogo can all be brought into attack. Maitland-Niles might get his debut in midfield, Rosicky is said to be injured so again leaves us with little scope to rotate in midfield. crowley or zelalem might get a chance, maybe off the bench, as could Akpom. The league game next weekend is way more important than the Gala match so we should rotate as much as possible to not risk any first team player we do not have good cover for, so both defense and midfield needs lots of changes midweek.

I was watching an ArsenalFanTv clip today and it struck me that they without knowing it highlighted something that is seriously wrong in the Arsenal fan base at the moment. ArsenalFanTv keep mentioning ” whether you are Wenger In or Wenger Out “, this in itself promotes a divide, it promotes a black and white two point argument, it looks to put everyone in one box or another. When simply put supporting Arsenal is not and should not be at all be about being Wenger In or Wenger Out. Idiots like Claude and Ty do nothing for the image of Arsenal supporters. Too many out there want to be Celebrities, AFTV have made some sort of celebrity out of a wanna be pirate, now Claude and Ty.
What about actually supporting the Arsenal, I don’t care who is manager of Arsenal, I support the Arsenal and have done so with Mee, Neill, Howe, Graham, Rioch and Wenger as our Manager, not forgetting the caretaker managers too, and I can honestly say that if AFTV were to interview me and ask “are you Wenger in our Wenger Out”, I’d ask what the hell has that got to do with my support of Arsenal.
I find fault in many things Wenger does, as I did with Mee, Neill, Howe, Graham and Rioch, but they had my support as long as they were Arsenal Manager, and Wenger will have my support as Arsenal Manager, and Wenger In or Wenger Out has nothing to do with it. As well as support, each manager has had varying degrees of respect from me, and never had disrespect, and never will. It seems to me that the cult of the Wenger Out brigade is full of disrespectful people and they do many of that view a disservice, the argument is lost in the tirade of abuse aimed at our manager.

What struck me about the boo -boys at the station was that they said to JC he should leave while he can, so assuming they will get their wish and Wenger leaves,, and Simon Cowell or Peter Wood becomes the new manager, and AFC is going to become the new Chelsea then why wouldn’t they want Joel to stay?Why would you want a player to go?
Why do people want Arsenal to lose just to kick Wenger out? And they have the audacity to say that pro Wenger Arsenal fans they dont support the club or they are plastic.

What a collective mental breakdown.
Other reports from the station yesterday included such gems as stuff being thrown at the players as they were boarding the train. That’s not on this small snippet.
On the other side, I’ve been told most fans did sing to support Arsene Wenger when Stokies were at their vilest.
The WOBs are desperately escalating this into a deliberate downward spiral, I actually fear for Wenger’s safety. For what, being 6th and losing by an odd goal at Stoke with a bolloix of a ref?

A lot being made of the boo boys at the station, a bit like the recent banner boys, sounds like just a handful that those with an agenda will focus on.
For some, their hatred of wenger has transcended their love or support for the club. Such people need a different hobby.
Keep seeing clips of this Claude geezer on twitter, and arsenal fan TV, the current poster boy for the disaffected, the man is of course entitled to his opinion, but clearly has anger management, and potentially cardiac issues. He needs to let it go somewhat. As stated above, needs a new hobby, one far less stressful. Some swear by knitting and crochet.

I felt really sorry for Wenger at the station.Wenger’s safety? Sure could be an issue, one loon at Le Sphyncter was going on about wanting him dead after the Swansea game.Thus highlighting an aspect of society which has got everything out of proportion.The trouble is we are fighting game to game and UA and PA seem to be the last outposts.

Any comments about this side’s form and the manager have to be seen in the context of the injury crisis. Until there is clear evidence that this group of players are no longer playing for the club and AW then I can’t see how a change of manager will make any difference – unless he has healing powers not witnessed since New Testament times.

The sad thing is some fans seem to think fomenting such division and abuse of the manager is going to help Arsenal. It is the middle of the season and the only thing this can do right now is dispirit the team and give the manager more fire-fighting to do in the media and possibly begin to erode solidarity in the team. I understand that folks are frustrated at several things, but let’s have some respect. It is also a shame that supporters now are so polarized that the legacy of this will probably continue well after AW retires. Victoria Concordia Crescit, anyone?
I am going to the Newcastle match and tbh, I am worried this stuff is going to infect the Ems on a wider scale. I hope we can get it together on and off the pitch.

We have a game of football tomorrow in Turkey, not sure what to expect. The assumption is, and it is probably cast iron, that a lot of fringe players will travel and get a game and therefore we face defeat. That outcome relies on Galatasary actually being up for a win, sending out a strong side, and not adopting the same approach as us to conserve players for their Super Lig. They have sacked Prandelli a fortnight ago and sit second in the domestic league behind Besiktas.
