To be quite frank Frank, just sing us a song you ol’ gooner crooner! A tale of Heroes & Villains part 2.

Welcome to the GunnersoreArse Blog, being blogged 918.74 kilometers (in a straight line) from the Emirates Stadium.

This article is a continuation from my last post, so perhaps to understand the context, it may be best to read that first here:

I walked on the Emirates pitch 34 years before Wenger. A history of heroes and villains!

In the mid 70’s, Arsenal had declined somewhat from the glory days of the early 70’s. The lowest point being a 17th place position in the league in 1975/76. Most of the double winning team of 1970/71 were moving to other teams and Bertie Mee had been replaced by Terry Neill as manager, Charlie George had gone, Ray Kennedy had gone to Liverpool and made a very successful change from Striker to Midfielder. George Graham had buggered off to Man Utd in 1972 and Frank McClintock had moved across London to Queens Park Rangers…

  1. Low went with Boateng instead of Mertesacker because he knows the Bayern Munich system a lot better. Again, you make stupid assumptions based on ignorance.

Hummels plays the Koscielny role at Dortmund. What the hell are you on about?

  2. Hunter have you every considered a part-time slot at the comedy store? Stand up?

A good thing for Germany that Boateng (& Schweiny) had such good games. No doubt the German left with Hummles and Howdes was the obvious weak spot. I thought before the game that they had to start Lavezzi on their right (started on the left last game) to attack the German weak area to have a chance in this game, and they did. So was surprised to see Lavezzi go off at HT. Injury? Hunter may be in denial but the Argie coach knew which areas to target. Alongside Messi’s low fitness after so many injuries this season, losing di Maria was a massive blow. But Germany also had to cope with their injuries. They had a bigger better squad. And their manager rotated his way through the tournament like a genius.
I was very happy when the better Boateng bruvver moved from Abu Dhabi to Munchen.

All I said is I’d stick with Djourou instead of paying over the odds for donkeys like Hummels and David Luiz.

By the way, you still haven’t told me why you think these two players are better than Djourou. All you’ve done is talk about titles, but you haven’t once told me why Hummels or David Luiz are better.

  4. Since Koscielny has only won just one FA cup, do you consider him to be below the level of either Hummels or David Luiz?

  5. Müller should have been the player of the tournament.

  6. absolutely not…in the dortmund squad klopp has assigned defensive organisation i.e the per role to hummels and subotic is their ninja just like kons is our ninja…..it is rather obvious mate.

    Michael Ballack : http://www.sportal.de/michael-ballack-mats-hummels-kann-bester-spieler-des-turniers-werden-1-2014070740015400000

    Joachim Low : http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/germany/world-cup/news/low-praises-sensational-hummels_163392.html

“He’s unbelievably important for us here,” said Roman Weidenfeller, a long-term team-mate of Hummels at Dortmund and Germany’s second-choice goalkeeper in Brazil behind Manuel Neuer. “He’s so professional in every situation and he always says what he thinks. He’s developing into a leader more and more and when you think that he’s now scored twice for us here in Brazil [Hummels was also on target in Germany’s 4-0 win over Portugal], that has helped him become increasingly important,” the 33-year-old said in an interview

Even Benedikt Howedes, captain of Dortmund’s arch-rivals Schalke, was effusive in his praise, exclusively telling FIFA.com: “We’ve got several leaders in this team but Mats has developed amazingly well and is definitely considered one of those players now.”

a player that his team mates and manager consider a fucking leader lol…..and according to you he is a donkey and dhjourou is better than him………

if you have a reading disability problem i suggest you go to a doctor

    1) you took cheap shots when brasil got raped 7-1 …i have proved that your cheap shots were off target going goal by goal.

    2) you claimed djourou is at a better level. besides trophies and achievements……. i told you to have a look at their personal stats and attributes ( technical, physical mental) . i trust the database of fm far more than anyone in here as that same database forms the info upon agents and managers worldwise purchase and scout players. oh and it gets it more right than anyone.

so where the hell does this “all youve done is talk about titles” you lying turd?

i have provided 3 different ways of proof for my claims and can even leave the 4th one out ( player values) .. what have you provided other than your biased opinion ?

  14. in what ways is djourou better than them two?

does he play for bigger clubs?
does he appear in bigger stages?
does he command more money ?
does he have a better tackling ratio? lol….
is he more of a leader than the other two?
is he more technical than luiz?
is he more of a fighter than both?
has he won more at club, national, individual level ?
is he as versatile as the other two?

no to all of the above

yet somehow i have to tolerate cheap shots from a mug who dislikes luiz + hummels and his entourage ? …….

and if i dare fight my corner i get people telling me to move on ? …lol when its others insisting?

so its a no win scenario then…….

  20. Otherwise, this is a fascinating discussion about CB’s who don’t play for Arsenal. But I am proud of Merts and Kos for doing well this world cup. I wish Merts had been picked ahead of Boateng for the last two matches, but he performed well up until Algeria, but I think he was exposed because Lahm wasn’t playing RB. Deschamps seemed to want to play Sakho ahead of Kos, but in fact Kos clearly played better when he got his chances.

absolutely… but i suggest he has a chat first with djourou so that he learns first hand how to seize the opportunity

i mean its not every day where i see 4th choice defenders for arsenal who played first team under circumstances of other players injuries and being loaned out in mighty hamburg overshadowing world cup donkeys….

…one thing I noticed about this match which was a bit odd…Ozil has ball…Ozil shields ball…Ozil gets pushed over…no fall…play on…did they forget he didn’t have his Arsenal colours on lol?

those donkeys you talk about one of them is a world cup winner and the other has won b2b european titles….. both have been key members of their teams successes…not 2nd 3rd r 4th option….

arsene sure did… to let the boy find himself for his mind and level were not good enough for arsenal and who knows maybe someone gets fooled overthere and he can get a few bucks out of him….. its not like we run a academy where we buy develop sell ..oh no…everyone is destined for first team football… hehee

anyway….the blog is not yours nor mine so i guess we show some fucking dignity…both of us to end this farcical debate in which you have nothing to stand on other than your opinion…..
