Newcastle – A Must Win Game. Again

So today is a “must win” game in what is an endless list of “must win” games, only one of which we have won. Not sure where that leaves us?

Newcastle are on a great run of form and we are in the middle of a crisis.  So how the bookies have us at evens is anyone’s guess.

Aaron is injured (due to Arsene’s stupidity, I’m reliably informed) so that leaves a slot in the middle for Jack, Santi, Tomas or Flamini.  The lack of choices is terrifying.

Everyone is in the red zone and should be rested.

Laurent might be fit and the skipper might be dropped.

Given that we had some 70% possession against West Ham everyone should be fine to play again.  Or not?

If Newcastle come at us I think we will win, if they sit back I think we will win.

In fact , I just think we will win and reach the halfway point, having played no one, on top of the stack.

Poor old Arsene must be at his wits end trying to take on board all of the advice he gets from experts like me.  I don’t know how he manages to sleep at night.

I just hope we are not 4 – 0 up at half-time and the Referee decides to make a game of it.

Up the Arse.

  1. Excellent win against an in form team and a ref with an agenda.

  2. 19 games done, and Arsenal could be playing a hell of a lot better than they have been. Not all the gears have even been used yet.
    Things look promising.

  4. lol at tiote gains. kicking for 90 minutes ….i reckon weve done well considering weve faced dean dowd and lambert the last 3 …

a difficult goal from oli..well taken..

was a bit shocked to see arteta come in the last 20 minutes when the game was getting aggressive and lol at jenks who didnt play the throw in quicker when krul was stil running back to his goal….

top of the league….with panic buys, a manager who dont do tactics, a team that aint good enough for top four from a board with no ambition. jokes aside may we continue stronger and stronger.

  5. Nice. Sobering up a bit after some post game celebration.
Where was MONREAL & why did FLAMSTER fill in for JETHRO when he got injured??
Probably down with a virus. Hopefully it is not anything more serious. CARL could have and should have given us a second goal if he had just played the throw in quicker. Think fast and act faster lad. This is a game of slim margins. NIK was screaming for the ball.

although I was screaming at the tellybox for Jenks to turn around and make a quick throw-in to Bentner, in hindsight (not enough of that around here *cough*) he did the right thing to slow the game down and take a slow throw-in, we were running down the clock and using up as many seconds as possible was important.

  9. I suppose that’s a possible explanation. The goal was gaping begging for someone to put in the ball. Would have been a nice punctuation to a hard nights fight. The important thing is how fr••••g great I feel mate. It has been long wait made more arduous by the trouble makers amongst us. Lots of emotional UPS and downs man. This feels fantastic.
I am so happy for AW and the crew. They deserve the highest praises.
