The Bradyesque7 Weekly Round-Up

Hello and welcome to this week’s round-up.

First up this week is the player of the season awards. Arsenal have seen fit to drag it out for the week so I will have to go ahead and congratulate our award winner before the announcement. Mikel Arteta secured fourth place in his new role at the base of the midfield while Theo’s best season yet saw him secure third. Koscielny’s performances in the run-in were fresh enough in the minds of enough fans to see him take third place. There were a couple of surprise omissions from the top of the pile but the people have spoken and, but for the formalities, our Player of the Season 2013 has been crowned. Congratulations, Mr. Tomas Rosicky.

As entertaining football has gone into hibernation, I will reluctantly discuss the internationals. Per Mertesacker was captain for the Germans against…I want to say Ecuador? Lukas Podolski scored after just a few seconds and then again sometime later in the game. Meanwhile in Wembley, The Ox and Theo were about England’s best players in what was a poor game, between two poor teams, with Ireland. Thomas Vermaelen injured himself in the Belgium game but that is all I know. I’m not even prepared to research any other international news that may or may not involve Arsenal players. It is, frankly, too dull.

In non-news, many players are leaving the club this summer and we don’t even have to try to find buyers for most of them. There will be new blood in both the junior and senior ranks with players like Yaya Sanogo and – if you believe what they say – Dan Crowley apparently being lined up to come in. This, however, may be an elaborate joke at my expense and those players may not even exist. I’ve never seen them. What do I know?!

That’s it for this week but what did you expect? Get out of here!

Thanks for reading.

Up the Arsenal!

  1. morning no.7, are you sure it is tomas rosicky? i was thinking the fans will choose cazorla. even though i was praying it is rambo.
    anyway, congrats to the winner.
it was plaesant seeing poldi scoring such a memorable goal. just at a time when he has been getting some unjustified criticism from his native germany for his not so impressive showings resently. what a way to silence the morons. not once but twice.
as regards england, not until they do away with their hollywood passes, i see no hope for exciting footie.
when will monaco finish their shopping? so that we can at least enter the market

  5. Santi it is and he has been an ever present plus since his arrival – buzzes like an angry wasp all over the pitch – whatever happened to “it takes a player a season to acclimatise to English football”. ?

And good to hear your can twist the few drops of sweet news out of the silent abyss that AFC has been this week B7

  6. if we only consider the last 3 months of the season ‘shakira’ as i like to call him rosicky, deserves to win. here is hoping he stays fit next season so that we rap up the league title by march. yes, i know we can do it.

  10. Santi was brilliant in the early Liverpool game and then quite until ARSENE moved him wider, his shooting was reminisent of Jonny Wilkinson for large parts of the season. It was a good first season and he will get better as he is quality however pots he certainly wasn’t. There were more important members of the squad but are just not as popular, unfortunately that is our game.

  11. Well done, B7. I wondered how you were going to find anything to round-up this week.

George, you’re right…where has Hunter been? Should I worry? I’m a mom; we’re good at worrying.

  14. hallo hallo!!! hey brady i saw your pic on ken friars bridge !! haha..i was in london looking for flats from monday till yesterday …i saw like 17 flats most of them in highgate..and none of them is affordable, heh…. so i decided fuck it the flat search aint doing too good lets go see our stadium!! yeah!!.. i kneeled, i took pics of all the statues..all the areas..the whole of the museum..went to highbury house ..even checked flats in the old highbury ground ( theyre a bit shit no wonder it took them long to sell them) imagine the hilarity of it..waking up in arsenal pyjamas …living in old arsenal ground..next to new ground..with season ticket ..getting in arenal tube to get to work …paranoia for sure..but ok 2825 to sit in the corners at club level and be surrounded by quiet unpassionate people who sit is not for me…. luckily i found an old mate who is a father of two now and wants to share his normal season ticket or even sell the whole of it….good man. fingers crossed and next year with me around we will definately go for the title and might even win it..last time i was around was 2004 ….our best ever….i will bring the trophies with me..its so fitting..it is written.
